I have owned other Norelco razors and this one performs best of all of them. I like the feel of how it handles and I have not problems of hitting the on/off button while shaving, as others have complained about. Overall I am very happy with the razor and would buy again.
I am very pleased with the razor. However I am having trouble with the cleaner. I find it does not clean the razor each time. I will contact Customer Service
Excellent shaver, after a few days, very close cut. Easy to clean. Only caveats are the lack of a stand to hold shaver on a counter or shelf and battery requires charging approximately every 2 weeks. Seems well constructed and thought out.
I have used Norelco razors for years and always loved the comfort of shaving with them, but they all had one flaw they would shave the hair from my neck very good so about every 2 weeks I would have to get the safety razor out and shave my neck. I am very happy to report since I started using this new razor I no longer have to use the safety razor.
I love the 9000 series shaver. It has great performance and I like the self cleaning and charging that comes with it. The only thing that I believe can be improved is that the speed change switches often get bumped through usage and I have to reset to my setting. This is a small matter. Overall I love the shaver.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Don't Waste Your Money on SmartClean!

This is my 3rd Norelco. I'll probable never get another brand. The 9000 series is great and shaves exceptionally well when you use a pre-shave (I use "Lectric Shave", it's just as good as more expensive pre-shaves), keep the blades clean, and replace blades every year (MINIMUM! - I go for every 6 months). The SmartClean system is a disaster!!! Spend your $$ on the shaver without the SmartClean added. It has never worked, it's an awkward design, it has a mind of its own, and the replacement fluid is expensive.
