The 9000 serie is pretty close the the PT925 I had previously (they no longer provide replacement parts). I initially bought the 5000 serie which never met my needs, I could not get a close shave with it. The PT925 had three row of shaving blades and the 9000 serie has 2. If you are looking for a close shave avoid the single row shaving blades

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best electric shaver that I have ever had a certainly on a par with all of the blade shaving that I have had ever the years. Very close shave, easy to use and NO nicks and cuts. The wet shave feature provides the freshness desired. Perhaps a bit longer than a blade shave, but all the positives far out weight the fraction of time that it takes to use a Norelco 9300 series shaver.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A step above any Norelco shaver I have owned

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon using this shaver, it was the closest and smoothest shave I have ever received from a Norelco shaver. The three speed oprion is OK but I keep it on high for quick shaves.
Cleaning the shaver is incredibly easy and replacing the blades for the future is just as simple,.and a much better idea than previous shavers, as it has been difficult to even get the correct blades.
The cleaning stand is a very cool idea. I haven't used it yet, but looks simple and a great way to keep the blades clean and sharp until, of course, your beard wears it out.
Overall extremely happy with this product!

this is not my first philips shaver but it is the closest dry or wet shave I ever had. as soon as you turn it on you hear it means business. i mainly shave dry daily and it does the job.battery last long and the cleaning /charging system works great. i recommande this shaver .

I am a loyal philips user (more than 20 years). this last product (seri 9) which I received from my wife as a anniversary gift, is an amazing experience. just, I am thinking is it really need to use the smart cleaning system and increase my cost?
