Buggy camera, and no group chat capability

I bought this phone two years ago and have felt constant stress piggybacking me the whole way. The first thing I noticed is that the applications I used most often, namely Snapchat, Instagram, and Facebook Messenger would crash multiple times upon opening. Then, I noticed that the camera and all associated apps that use the camera (i.e., Snapchat) would require 6-7 reboots in order to work, after which many a good picture opportunity had passed. Most unfortunate about this phone it's inability to receive group text MMS. In the beginning, I could still receive group MMS on/off, but it was an annoying process: group messages would only be received if wifi is turned off and data turned on: the phone would create individual message threads for each person in the group chat (i.e., if my dad group messaged, an individual message thread for dad would open, with an attachment. I would need to download that attachment over data in order to receive his group message, otherwise I would miss the message). What's unfortunate is that I had checked T-MOBILE compatability before buying, and compatibility was ensured. Unfortunately, not the case. The actually quality of the camera and battery life are decent for the price, but so unfortunate that camera and group text message, two of the fundamental components to customer satisfaction for smart phone, are not met. If not for these two critical issues, I would have been content using this phone for another two years. I ended up downgrading back to my Moto X in order to take the stress off my dad (he kept sending me individual texts to make sure I would receive them). I also called Lenovo customer service, and after a frustrating hour and a half l, the conclusion was that this group message problem "will not be able to be fixed sir, sorry for the trouble".

Many issues

I bought this phone recently and seeing a ton of problems. Upgraded from Android Nougat to Android 8.0 Oreo and facebook stopped working. The news feed section says unable to connect please retry. Tried clearing cache, data, reinstalling app etc but still does not work. Most likely some corruption during the Android update. I'm not sure if all the drivers on this device are compatible with Android Oreo. The Moto display feature is a piece of junk. Everytime the phone shakes it wakes the display. Cannot set it to wake only when a notification arrives. Had to disable peek view altogether to prevent the phone from randomly waking up. The phone lacks a notification LED that many other android phones have. Camera has a lot of lag and low light pics are poor in quality. The build quality on this phone is good and the screen resolution is good.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Durable!

I got this phone for my husband on his birthday and he loves it!He feels fancy having this phone!Thank you for incredible sale!He had an old Motorola and this is a perfect replacement!We love that this is a little bit heavier than most of the smartphones and its not bulky at all.Most smartphones are lightweight and they're too delicate even with their casings on.If you want a durable phone inside out, this is great choice!

Very Poor..Too Much heating and battery swollen

Moto G5S Plaus mobile is not good at all..from beginning there has been problem in voice going through. It was heating too much that you can't touch the mobile. Battery got swollen (Battery fool gayi) in 1 year and left the screen due to it. It was my biggest mistake to have bought Moto mobile. I don't suggest Motorola mobiles at all - they are just pathetic.

Completely stopped

Stopped one fine day and would not start again. One led light blinks when out in charge and cannot restart the phone.

I bought this phone last year in May, and I was pretty pleased with the ease of use and quality of pictures. It had started to slow down a little bit lately, but then it stopped charging and is now completely dead. I took it to 2 different repair shops and both diagnosed a broken charging IC, and the cost of repair is the same as the original phone. If you want a phone that works pretty well but just barely lasts through the warranty, then this is the one for you.

moto gestures and design

I perched this mobile on April 2017.This mobile is working smoothly in starting days ,i have installed lots of apps but there is no lag .after one year its hanging and charging problem . pictures are very nice in previous versions but in recent updates camera quality is very bad and takes lots of time..

Battery is dying after 6 months

I got this phone in April. It's November and my battery is already failing. Even using battery saver, I can watch the percentage drop in minutes. My old Moto G4 lasted me three years and still held a great charge. So disappointed...
