Great Phone Competes With Those Over Twice The $$

I did probably too much research into phones when I realized that Moto is the only company making quality phones for much less that are compatible unlocked with the most networks. The most difficult decision was deciding which Moto to buy. At the end it came down to Moto G5 Plus versus E4 plus which is really battery versus camera. Camera won but I would love if I didn't have to make that sacrifice. The only other complaint is that you can't get 4 GB RAM without 64 GB space. I would like to see more RAM as a sole upgrade especially if the phone has expandable storage in order to save even more money. But you can't beat this value for the money. I'm extremely pleased. Time will tell how long the phone lasts as this is my first Moto device.

Poor Experience

Gave booting problems just after 2 days. "Your device has failed verification and may not work properly". Wanted to order a replacement/refund? but can even access the IMEI code as the phone doesn't start. The replacement process requires that code. Really unhappy as I have to go through all this in vacation week
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Unlocked model: no data connection while on a call

I activated my unlocked Moto G5 Plus on Sprint (replacing LG G3 on my existing Sprint account) 6 months ago. Data is apparently deactivated during voice calls. Does the Moto G5 Plus -- like the newer Moto E4 Plus -- offer an Enhanced 4G LTE mode option that supports data connectivity during voice calling? This is desperately needed while talking/listening -- with or without (?) using Bluetooth -- in order to receive turn-by-turn driving instructions from Waze or Google Maps.

I used to have a G4 and had no problems for over 5 years. Infact it still works but the battery won't hold like it used to. Decided to try the G5s plus and with in the first year ( glad I got the 2 year warranty) I will be on my 3rd phone. Motorola has been good at sending me a replacement for free as long as I send mine back first. Good thing I still have my G4 to fall back on. Hopefully 3rd times a charm because I am about to demand a refund. I am still a fan of the brand but on the fence when it comes to the G5s.
PS the G4 speaker is on the front, same place as the ear peace so you get good front sound. The G5s is on the bottom like the competitions, bad location. Wish I had known that before I bought it, as I may not have bought it.

Best phone EVER! Period!

I have had Apple phones, Samsung phones and LG phones, but not one of them compares to this phone. I absolutely love it. Those spam texts and the spam report button? why hasn't any other company figured out that yet? Other phones I have owned can't even touch how spectacular the camera is! Wow, the memory is outstanding! Turbo charge and graphics are also a wonderful feature. My next phone will definitely be a Motorola. I can promise you that I tell everyone I know about how great this phone is! LOVE IT!

Bad phone

My mom got this phone a year ago & the battery has failed. It won’t charge or anything shes taken the battery out & still won’t work. She got this phone at MetroPcs.
