Great device

This is pretty good for the price it is. Camera is great, the fingerprint reader is kind of in a more difficult spot though. Also I don't much care for the fact that it doesn't have built in home and back buttons, it's all in one button on the bottom which is also the reader. It's harder to go back, like if you're in the middle of watching a video, you could easily exit to the home screen when all you're meaning to do is exit the video. Other than that, it runs fantastic, the screen quality is great, and it's got a decent battery. It'll last me all day in my pocket, and for about 8 hours if I'm playing around with it

Phone not working

This is rare. We would like to help. Do you have any third party app that can cause the phone to automatically answer a call? You may try putting it into Safe Mode and see if that would help. Simply press and hold the power button until Power Off option appears on the screen. Tap and hold the Power Off option until Reboot to Safe Mode appears on the screen, then tap OK. Once done try to observe if the behavior is still present. If yes, try uninstalling some apps which you recently download or the last app you downloaded when the behavior occurs. You may also reset the app preferences through Settings> Apps> tap the 3 dot option> Tap Reset App Preferences. Hope this helps.

Lots of features and speed; very poor longevity

I purchased this phone just over a month ago, and it's already completely failed (without warning). This phone has never been dropped, broken, and never been in or near water. This is the third early failed Motorola phone that I have purchased in the last 15 months, and WILL BE MY LAST. Don't waste your money. My Motorola G4 lasted 2 + years without issue, but I ran out of memory. I therefore upgraded to a G5. That phone lasted 1 year 2 months (of light to moderate use), then would no longer make or received phone calls, and the home button stopped working. I therefore purchased another G5. That phone was broken upon arrival (volume button didn't work). I then "upgraded" to this phone. Barely one month of light use and it shut off randomly while sitting on my coffee table on 02/03/2019 with about a 90% battery charge, and would not re-start. Very upsetting. Therefore I have about $1000 spent on four phones in 2 1/2 years and none of them work. Complete JUNK. Don't buy Motorola. I have never had any problems with any of the Samsung or LG phones that I have owned in the past. If anyone from Motorola is reading this, you need to IMPROVE YOUR QUALITY. It's very disappointing to purchase three phones in last last 15 months (none of which were ever dropped or broken) that fail in the same amount of time.

Moto G going down!

Although there are some additional features as the moto G versions upgraded over time, many of the earlier features are not available any more. For example, DND does not work properly - there phone rings when during the events although the phone is set to have total silence during events. There is no option for when to lock the phone after screen display is off or sleeps - the phone locks as soon as the screen sleeps (in earlier versions, there were two related settings - after how long of inactivity the screen sleeps and when to lock the screen after the screen sleeps). There are more problems which are not writen here. I am not so happy with the phone.

This phone comes on all the time by itself so the battery does not last. It is very fragile. Broke the screen by bumping something with the phone in my hand. The sound completely stopped. No call or music sound.

I know how it feels to have a phone not working. The phone has Gorilla Glass 3. If it happens that the device has a crack or scratches, the device is considered as physical damage. You may send us the device to have it repaired. There will be a fee to have it fixed as it is considered as physical damage due to crack. You may perform a factory reset on the device. Great value

I activated a month ago. So far so good. It should really have a notification light. I am very disappointed with the fingerprint unlock. It seems that you can't use it without also adding pin, pattern or password which defeats the purpose of it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Product Failed Within 1 week

I bought this product and within one week the processor went spastic. The phone would cycle between on and off for half an hour before turning off. When I was finally able to start the device, the phone would freeze randomly. I tried to factory reset the device but that made it worse and it wouldn't turn on at all.
For the first week the phone was very sharp and responsive - I would have loved to use this device, if it hadn't failed so quickly. I assume I got a lemon somehow, as the company would not be able to stay in business if all of their products failed in this spectacular manner. I bought the G6 to replace it and I hope it works better.

Good phone, but..

Except for the problems I'm about to outline, this phone would be phenomenal. It works well, has lots of features, and is very easy to use. The problem is that it consistently fails to run simple apps and frequently shuts down. While running an app it will often freeze and either force you to close the app or the phone will shut off. It has been doing this ever since I got it (about 6 months ago). If not for those issues, would rate 5 stars.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
