Gets the job done

I love this stove but... It caught on fire

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This stove came as a new appliance in our new home. After about one month of use, I set the oven at 450 degrees to bake some frozen fish sticks. As I waited for the preheat to finish, I smelled a horrible plastic like smell coming from the stove. I went and checked it out and there was nothing. The smell increased, so I checked it again and the whole bottom of the stove was on FIRE!! I turned it off, took the spray nozzle from the sink and extinguished the flames. I was terrified! I would not even attempt to use it until we had someone come and look at it. The repairman said it was okay, that I extinguished the flames before anything became damaged. He said there was a small bit of plastic something that had caught on fire, probably left in the oven from manufacturing! We had only used the stove top before this! It was truly a scary experience!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
