Pretty good cooktop, but the oven is not so good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit came with my new house purchase and I've been using it now for almost three years so I thought I might provide some insight on the performance of the unit at this point.
I like the overall appearance, it has the S/S look of a more luxury item. The cooktop is pretty good at 53,000 overall BTU's, with the power burner hitting 17,000 for a fairly quick boil. My only real complaint about the cooktop is the way the metal parts sit on the burner, specifically if you don't get them centered then the flame will be uneven, it's easy to bump those when doing a quick wipe-down of the cooktop and knock them off center. Maybe a magnetic solution or something like that which could self-center would be a better way?
Also the center "Grill" burner isn't really useful since it doesn't extend from front to back, I assume by "Grill" Fridgidare means Griddle like a cast iron griddle which we use on the cooktop from time to time, however we use the two-burner sides of the cooktop since the center one doesn't provide even heat for something that long.
Overall the cooktop is pretty good and I like it.
This leads to the real problem I have with the unit and the issues we've ran into: The Oven.
The first thing to go out was the oven light bulb, not a biggie, it's cheap so we just ordered another and replaced it. Next the ignitor went out, beyond the warranty period, but fortunately it's fairly easy to replace so not huge either.
The function of the Oven is where we really have the main issues, it doesn't cook evenly which is OK for some things but not for others. For instance baking a frozen pizza pie results in a done outside and a mush undercooked middle. We've tried several hacks to try to get around the uneven heat but none seem to produce a quality end result like we are used to. Since there is no convection on this unit there is just no good way to distribute the heat evenly, it's either overcooked on the outside or mush in the middle. We've all but quit trying with that dish. Many dishes will turn out pretty well but that one in particular is an issue, I think the lack of convection on any gas oven is going to be a problem since gas just isn't great for heat distribution. Another issue is the racks are pretty flimsy, there is no way I'm even going to try putting my large enameled cast iron on the rack since it bows with little pressure.
Overall this unit isn't a bad choice in it's price-range, in our specific situation we are used to higher end units that perform many more functions and cook far more evenly, but this would be a good product for the first time home-buyer or anyone with a lower-end unit as an upgrade. I can see myself purchasing something much higher end soon, but it's served us pretty well for the last three years.
