Experience with TurboTax Business

The question pertained to the status of one of the partners in Form 1065. There was no clear question or option for a partner who is a US Permanent Resident. The only question that drives for the final form Section B #17 to have a response of "Yes", one of the partners is a foreigner was "Are you a US Citizen". A US Person can be either a US Citizen or permanent resident, ie: a greencard holder. Hence this is a flaw in the turbotax questions that has resulted in us having to file an amendment for both the partnership and the partners.
We would appreciate a response from TurboTax regarding the limitation of this software and if it will be fixed/ if we can be compensated.
At this point, we have to file our papers by mail as TurboTax does not offer the option of filing the amendment online.
What's great about it: Easy to use, step by step guide.
What's not so great: 1 of the questions caused an errorneous filing and we have to file an amendment now.

electronic filing problem

Not sure, but the program seems to run slower each of last two years (on same computer) when preparing the1041 form. Also had problems getting IRS to accept electronic filing - I got a very strange error message that appears related to XML, file structure and "ZipCD" field even though I had correct zip code in the zip code field. There were no incomplete data fields (return passed the error check in TurboTax). Hopefully return goes through this time.
What's great about it: seems to get slower each year
What's not so great: continued error in electronic filing of 1041

No Help on Rejected e-file

e-file rejection comment indicted a pathway error, but no help on fixing problem. Simply says "fix pathway error."
What's great about it: Good as long as no issues.
What's not so great: Help features are not clear.

Better e-file prep needed.

I loved this program but I kept getting error 2 endlessly. It put a wrench in my timeline.
What's great about it: I love how Turbotax walks you through every step and double checks for errors.
What's not so great: Multiple errors with e-filing.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

2017 Business and Trust

I was unable to enter 1099-MISC.
In the distribution GUI, no way to enter a percent or amount for the Trust itself. Spent a lot of time to figure out that I have to modify the forms "Distributable Income for Schedule(s) K-1" directly. Right click on 15 Amount distributed to beneficiary to "Overwrite" the default.

This is the first time I had to prepare taxes for a special needs trust. Turbo Tax help me determine with the appropriate selection based on the information I had. Thank you for walking me through this process.

great business filing sofware

2017 business version did not have many new features comparing to last yr, which is good since that means good features were not taken away.
Suggestions:
1) I'd like to see where efile page can be signed without printing (I sign it in Adobe Pro & reattach).
2) efile extension option, please. In 2016 I could do that via your app.
3) the ability to preview worksheets even when turbotax makes a choice (Schedule A itemized deductions versus standard deduction, i could not see the calcs. who all got phased out).
