Easily Done

I highly recommended turbo tax for business for anyone especially new business owners. the program is loaded with information you will need to consider to correctly submit a tax return and feel confident that you have met the irs requirements.
What's great about it: the program asks all the questions then fills in the appropriate forms.
What's not so great: i did not really see the forms until close to the end of the return

Business as usual

Used for a 1065 Partnership return... was clear and simple on the high level topics as usual. Gets a little complicated if you have deeper situations to deal with (like section 179 depreciation, heavy balance sheet activity, etc.)
What's great about it: easy, self explanatory on high level subjects
What's not so great: Indepth subjects require outside input at times.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

TurboTax Business is NOT like Home & Business

I've been a TurboTax user for over 20 years, but this was my first time using Business version. I needed to file a Trust return which required Business version. I was very disappointed in the lack of explanation available for many items. This took me 10 times longer than it should have to complete a relatively simple return. It seems to be glitchy. I entered the same information 3 or 4 times and would get different results. Finally just went with the version that told me I owed the least tax and will let the Fed's find any errors.
What's great about it: Better than nothing
What's not so great: Very lacking in help

Business Tax LIFESAVER

TURBOTAX for business, takes all the high level tax jargon, down to eye level laymen terms & feasibility. I would've gave it 5 out of 5 stars if it were available on MAC, as locating then transferring all my files to PC is a major inconvenience. Outside of that, the software is amazing!
What's great about it: takes all the high level tax jargon, down to eye level laymen terms & feasability
What's not so great: WE NEED THIS AVAILABLE FOR MAC ASAP!

Hi,
First time user of TurboTax for Business for a newly formed LLC. Overall the tool was very user friendly and intuitive. I had no issues at all in following instructions.
What I would like is a better explanation of any calculations (e.g. Difference between depreciation of State from Federal).
What's great about it: Easy and intuitive GUI
What's not so great: Better explanation of calculations would be useful

If you guys do not find a way to have support for the Mac, you're really opening yourselves up for a new entrant... Although I love the user experience, having to borrow a PC just to do my taxes is very frustrating.
Please fix this.
What's great about it: Your UI is great.
What's not so great: No Mac support

Three tries to e-file; three failures!
on April 2, 2018

Tries three times to file federal taxes. All three times received "Rejected" notice. The message indicated that there was a problem with the software, that caused the transmission failure.
What's not so great: TurboTax failed to submit the federal efile

Don't Forget to Print the State Return
on April 2, 2018

Overall the program is very helpul and works with you through the work necessary to file the 1041 and related forms. Some of the questions in the state form are not as clear as they could be. When I was done, I had to manually print and mail the state return because there was no e-file option. TurboTax did not, however, alert me to this problem!
What's great about it: The program transferred most of the information from the federal return to the state return
What's not so great: I was able to e-file the federal return, but I had to print and mail the state return
