Overall, the tax preparation experience was smooth and time efficient. The only cons observed is probably due to differences in approaching the same objective as designed by the different software companies.
What's great about it: Easy to follow instructions that guide you towards a successful filing
What's not so great: Matching up with previous year's return that was done through another software was a bit tasking.

Stock Donation Worksheets

Last year, I made numerous donations of appreciated stock to various charitable organizations. It seems that Turbotax requires a separate donation worksheet to be completed for each issue donated, this is because of the questions at the end of the form pertaining to entire interest, restrictions on the gift, etc. Inasmuch as all the answers are the same for every donated stock issue, is there some way to avoid having to fill out multiple worksheets?
What's great about it: Well organized for charitable donations
What's not so great: Multiple worksheets needed

OUTSTANDING with one BIG Exception

Prefer this product - even still.
Issue with Amortization not shown separately in list of expenses but added to total in Guide Me. Spent at least 10 hours chasing down the difference from my books to TurboTax. Because the amortization used was not the full amortization (like depreciation) the difference was not traceable to that issue. Assumed the issue/difference was in the transfer of expenses from QBO to TurboTax.

Turbo tax makes business taxes easy

Turbo tax software is simple to use and saves me tons of money in accountant tax prep fees.
What's great about it: step by step guidance
What's not so great: too many "are you sure" screens for add on services

Sorely lacking functionality for trust returns

I use TurboTax for my individual returns and I'm generally happy. However, for several years I've needed to file 1041 for trusts. That entails using TurboTax for Business. I'm very unhappy and I'm going to turn my files over to a CPA next year rather than deal with this mess any more. My major complaints: (1) The cost. For what I'm paying (2) I'm an Apple OS user. While Intuit makes a Mac version for individual taxes, but it's Windows only for Business. I therefore need to maintain Windows and Parallel - more added cost. (3) I have a very large number of capital gains transactions. TT for Business does not support electronic download of these files. (4) I have to file a state return for the trusts, yet TT does not have a state version for a 1041 return. (Even though I can file a state return for an HOA that I file.) I'm sick to death of TT for Business and will not use again if I can find an alternative.
What's great about it: Helps me with the complexities of a trust return
What's not so great: Everything else

Incredible Easy Business paperwork!

I am a new business owner and this was my first time filing business tax documents. Turbotax business made my life so easy! I took me about 4 - 5 hours to complete everything, and that because I had no experience before. It guided me every step of the way and the document at the end was impeccable. I made a mistake on one of the forms and amending it took 10 min. :D couldn't be happier!!
What's great about it: Easy to follow and covers everything
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

SUPRISINGLY EASY

Felt a bit blind while completing the questions as I'm used to manually doing corporate taxes, but I could find nothing left out of the guided tour.
What's great about it: SEEMED TO COVER EVERY NEW TAX RULE EVEN FOR HEALTH INSURANCE & SMALL BUSINESS
What's not so great: NONE
