Disappointed by no Imports

Very disappointed in the lack of an import function in the Business version of Turbo Tax. Having to enter everything by hand with a lack of usable directions increases the chance of an error. This is in stark contrast to the ease of import in the main Turbo Tax product.

Really not making an effort

Not nearly as automated as the regular products at gathering data from vendors. It's improved a little since last year but still requires too much manual input. Clearly Intuit has the ability to download all the necessary data from myriad of vendors but they don't seem to make the effort to integrate that into this product.
What's great about it: Better than last year
What's not so great: Doesn't compare to the non-business product

I used TT during 2014 and 2015 Joint not business the latter was definitely a new experience, more detail bigger challenge, its a great tool other than the CONS problem it is still the best program around I can understand now how the previous Secretary of the Treasury had problems with it
What's great about it: great program to use beats reading a manual
What's not so great: if you make a mistake one can not correct it even though you go back it is engrave in stone

I have used TurboTax off and on for years and find it simple and straightforward.
What's great about it: Questions for filing out trust return were straightforward, presentation of paperwork was well done.
What's not so great: ? inquiries might have been a bit more informative, but caused me no problems

Lacks a lot

This is the first year I used Turbotax to prepare a 1041 for a trust. I was very disappointed that I could not direct deposit my refund or efile my State of Illinois. Adding to the insult was the lack of ability to import financial data like regular Turbotax allows. That and the significant cost for the state filing should at very minimum include the state efile. I will certainly look around next year for an alternate program. Since this is just a trust, import of data from Quickbooks does me no good. I don't need QB for a trust!

Great experience

I have used this software for business returns for more than 10 years and have been extremely pleased with it. This year for the first time, it did not load..had to have changes to my computer to load it...but once loaded it is great.
What's great about it: The software was a great step by step
What's not so great: trouble loading
