Very Poor Instructions

Very poor instructions related to income associated with Form 1099-R and transitioning from Federal to State Tax Returns. Sad.

First time user, I'll be back

This is the first year I have filed as a Partnership. Once I figured out I couldn't use TT Self-Employed, downloading and using TT Business was easy and my tax return was done in an hour. I will use it again next year.
What's great about it: Easy to use since my business isn't very complicated
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Best Program yet

This year the program provided me with guidance on how to adjust some settings in Quickbooks to more quickly get my data into my return. Once I set the forms for where the data belonged, It rocked. Took a few minutes to go back and make some depreciation entries I had not made and enter an asset that I wasn't tracking, but things that needed to be done anyway. All together had a return finished in less than an hour that has taken several hours in the past. I may try to do my own C corp return this year. One LLC down, one LLC to go and then may skip the CPA and see if I can do a C corp on my own.
What's great about it: Helped me take my Quickbooks Data and quickly finish a return that in the past took me hours.
What's not so great: Not sure. Still have some more returns to do and will have to see how it works when I get into trying to do the C corp.

I don't need tax Info from the Community!

Turbo Fail! When I click on help I want the experts and the IRS guidance not other users opinions! I am very disappointed that I cannot click on a link to pull the expert opinions or IRS guides. When I click help I am taken to your blog where non-experts answer question.
What's not so great: Anyone can answer crucial questions!

Made My Simple Trust Return Easy

When I was using Lacerte, the K1 was integrated with my 1040. Now, I have to buy the Business application to do my trust return. I wish it was all available in one program.
What's great about it: Easy To Use
What's not so great: No Integration With 1040

Capital Gains Workspace

TT Business should provide a much larger 'Description' space for entering individual sales or proceeds from Broker transactions. There is plenty of 'white space' on the entry page. The description space is so limited that you must scroll back through an entry to double check your typing. For manual individual entry take pity on the person that has to type in the description.
What's great about it: TT Business - is comprehensive & gives you the confidence that your tax return is correct!
What's not so great: Entry space for 1099 DIV transactions too limited!

PC Bias

Every year I have to seek out a PC to do just the business portion of my taxes on because I am a Mac user. I really really really do not like to work on a PC. Why are you in your infinite wisdom able to do the business program in the online environment. All the rest of my taxes are a snap with the online version running from my Mac. I have even searched for other products that would allow me to do all of my taxes from online. When they do I will be gone. I hate that because I have been using turbo tax since 2005.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax online
What's not so great: Business cannot be done online
