So easy to do my corporation taxes now

This was by far the best business tax software with step by step instructions. I would not use anything else. With a simple tax situation, standard profit and loss and balance sheets, why would any one spend thousands with tax accountants when this makes your life so much easier.
What's great about it: Interactive menu with step by step instructions were just awsome
What's not so great: The only issue was rounding error and corrections. These should be addressed in the next version.

Easy

If you are organized with your receipts, mortgage info, etc... Turbo tax is easy to use and will walk you through all scenarios. If you forget something it will check to see if all items are completed. If your taxes are very very complicated then maybe not for you (i.e. multiple businesses in multiple states).
What's great about it: Walks you through everything
What's not so great: You have to pay for it LOL
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I've used TurboTax Business (and Personal) for many years. The same weirdnesses show up every year. For example, importing from Quickbooks comes up with some numbers that don't match the reports from Quickbooks and always requires some adjustment to the numbers to get the balances to match. Errors found this year were program errors that never should have happened. Fortunately, they were easily fixed manually. Overall, TT for Business does a good job and saves time filing the taxes, but the annual annoyances knock the rating down.
What's great about it: Imports from Quickbooks, checks for errors, offers Audit Defense, accuracy guarantee
What's not so great: Some Quickbooks numbers screwy, some errors are simply silly

This is the best way for me to handle the tax forms for my business, so I can get on with helping clients.
What's great about it: quick, easy to use and fast.
What's not so great: always have trouble finding how to download TurboTax after I pay for it much earlier

FIRST TIME USER

I am a first time user, and this took several days to do a simple return. Better mapping of forms and ability to fill in forms is needed. Drilling down to where amounts originated from would help when reviewing the return.
What's great about it: WORKED WELL FOR S CORP FILING
What's not so great: FORMS SEARCHING NEEDS WORK

Not great instructions for trusts

I am trustee for several family trusts, where the sole beneficiary is one family member. One ein has two trusts: a testamentary trust that distributes income, and an inherited ira that distributes minimum required distributions. I usually round both distributions up. It is completely unclear in the Turbotax forms how to report this income. And I have no confidence that it will be clear that the IRA RMD has been distributed - no evidence of this on the K1.
What's great about it: a lot of things are clear
What's not so great: some things aren't clear - like how to report distributions

Always trust TurboTax Business.
The extra forms that were printed out this year for the FL State filing were confusing. I just filed the same pages from last year. Hope I did that right.
Otherwise, love the way TurboTax Business takes care of everything. It is an incredible program.
