Excellent choice for small LLC's

Turbo Tax Business was the perfect choice for us. Easy to navigate and user friendly. Did our taxes in less than one day! E-file was quick and easy - no printing, no postage, almost no signing of documents.
What's great about it: Guides you step by step through every category of Income and Expenses

Errors saving and printing

Errors saving and tried various ways. I am a great one-person geek squad and this was frustrating when it should be so simple.
What's great about it: populates previous year data
What's not so great: not being able to save except in downloads and could not print anything but a payment receipt

Turbotax makes it possible to DIY

I have been using Turbotax for over 10 years and it does get easier every year, d/t my increased understanding and improvements in the program. Our taxes are highly complicated. I always dread pressing that "error review" button at the end as in the past I've been asked to fill in boxes on forms that are not explained, and if I knew what to fill in there I wouldn't NEED Turbotax. Fortunately that didn't happen this year. Overall I love TT and think my taxes were done corrrectly.
What's great about it: Gets better every year; I would never understand these forms w/o the guidance questions
What's not so great: There are still things I need to research and it occasionally asks me things I don't fully understand

Great software

Two issues:
1. Sometimes its very difficult to go back to change an entry.
2. When you click on "Explain" the text that comes up is much too brief.

could have gone a bit easier

I work in Ohio but do some in California.
When I was working on the Ohio local tax and the California state tax, the forms would not fill in using the data from my Fed. While talking to a TurboTax Pro I closed the program out and restarted. Voila - everything was filed in.

Problems e-filing

Had a change in LLC managing partners and the software would not allow e-file even though all the issues it pointed out in the review were correctly entered. It did not recognize the new partner. Have to paper file.
What's great about it: Carries over last year's info
What's not so great: Issues with changing LLC partners

Love Turbo Tax_20+ Year User

I have used Turbo Tax for over 20 years. I have an LLC Business which I use the Business version for. I also use the Home and Business for my personal taxes. I have a couple small businesses, a rental home and more. Turbo Tax easily walks me through everything I need to do. There are plenty of suggestions and options for those beginning users as well.
What's great about it: User Friendly, Find answers to all your questions
Pros: I bought or sold investments
