Thank GOD for Turbotax!

Other than having to pay the extra $ for the State version of the business package, my annual tax filing experience was made a lot simpler by TurboTax. Would rather the Business package include a voucher for ONE state rather than having to buy a separate download.
What's great about it: Simple walkthrough and import of data
What's not so great: Wish they would just bundle the State filing with the Federal package

It does what it is supposed to. It does not explain much, and I found myself googling just about everything.
I bought the audit defense, I guess I'll see if I use it.

The federal forms are simple to use. The state forms are clumsy, with much of the data being entered during a 'hunt and peck' process. Same as past years, but I wish the forms for state (GA) were easier to follow. The personal state forms (form1040) on Turbotax are much easier, to use. I did have trouble with the GA estimated tax worksheet not calculating the 2018 tax correctly - put in the amount owed in 2017, not the tax amount due, so the difference on the form was $$460 too low. I eventually found a way to correct the vouchers.
What's great about it: Import of past returns
What's not so great: Georgia estimated tax worksheet using last year's data - is wrong

Everything is so easy to do, you do not need to go anywhere.
What's great about it: Everything is explained, and if you are a DIY person, you can achieve it.
What's not so great: Youtube videos explanations, maybe?

Gets easier every year!

Have been using this the 9th year in a row, and it is easy. Took me less than a day to finalize and file my taxes.
What's great about it: Ability to import from Quickbooks
What's not so great: Some accounting line items don't import correctly

Overall very friendly and easy to use on a continuing basis. Rounding always causes things to be off a dollar or so and must change an entry to get in balance, but still very easy to enter once you have your numbers from your accounting system.
What's great about it: Easy with last years carryover
What's not so great: Adding Categories (3 options but how to get 3 or more)

turbotax could help by including something more. Some States require electronic payments. Filing tax return electronically works well, but, where do you go to make tax due? Payment for taxes need to be made. Only do this once a year. Where do you go to pay the taxes ?
