I'm a CPA who is not in public now. For the longest time I could not find how to change the address on the front page of the return! Eventually I overrode it. I also did not understand how to add lines in the other assets, or find hidden amounts that made the balance sheet not balance. I had to do the non-quick guide me method to find the crazy spots where the QuickBooks import put things. It was the cheapest way to file this 1-time emergency return but you do get what you pay for!
What's great about it: Quickbooks import
What's not so great: couldn't find simple things
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

business tax

I love using Turbo tax but I always have a hard time with the Balance sheet I am not an Accountant so I do not understand the wording or how you figure the end balance?? Please make an easier way to fill this out.

Overall, a great system. It's very user friendly and has quite a bit of tips.

Great Software

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years now for taxes. It has gotten easier and easier. The only thing I would say about the error check is it did not give you explanations of what needed to be corrected or how to correct the problem. It did tell alert you to check into a potential issue.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Confusing error check

State efile problems

As a tax accountant, using turbo tax for business & business forms to access 1099s & W-2s previously prepared has been a nightmare, even worse trying to get customer service after hours during tax season. I had to change my password to access business forms at least 6 times this past tax season. I was told by the franchise tax board there have been efile problems with Turbo tax for business for years. I have clients who have been charged late filing penalties for corporate state returns efiled using your software, this is UNACCEPTABLE!!
What's great about it: After 3 years using busn sftwr, NO pros
What's not so great: Cannot upload state efile authorization form, also efile confirm page onlys indicates federal submission
