I've used TurboTax Business since 2012. It's a good product but I've encountered several glitches, especially in the PA state module, where information/forms required by PA were incorrectly completed or simply not generated, e.g. PA Sch E for royalty income. IMO, there needs to be more thorough product testing of all possible tax filer scenarios to ensure the product works as advertised.
What's great about it: Imports prior year's tax return
What's not so great: Several glitches lower confidence

Worked well for a tricky situation

I am a member of a new LLC that owns timberland. The return is pretty simple as we had one time organizational costs and have a few deductions each year and periodic income from cutting trees. Due to the assets, we had to do a balance sheet. I had a real time getting from TT came up with to match what I had in Quicken. What it boils down to is how you account for growth of trees and losses from waste during harvesting as well as the change in value of trees based on prices timber companies will pay. Once I had the right numbers and things done in a compatible way in Quicken to what Turbotax was coming up with, it was easy.

Completed my 1065 partnership return just fine. Will be mailing the required forms. Completed process of printing forms for mailing. There were no instructions for mailing, specifically a mailing address for the IRS, Dept of the Treasury.

TurboTax Money Saver

Overall very good product but past couple of years noticing more and more process issues such as getting screwed up on figures and not allowing you to change them or tell where to go to do so. Very poor instructions/process on partner capital contributions and losses. Have to figure out how to balance on your own. Another Example of poor programming, is using my nickname which I have used many times but TT says someone else is using it.
What's great about it: Low cost, fairly good screens and instructions
What's not so great: Some screens not adequately explained

I ran into a lot of issues when trying to efile my partnership return after having entered a "0" in a field that should have been left blank. After repeated attempts to correct during the review phase, I called Intuit to learn how to correct in the Federal program. This is a frustrating process and only after calling support did I get the correct answer, requiring me to change select entries in the Federal return. It would be great having the program give some suggestions on how to correct in the review phase or better yet by providing better instructions on how to enter the information in the first place.
What's great about it: Repeated user easy to use
What's not so great: Program entry is not clear when certain fields need to remain blank

Turbo Tax wont transfer info from QB Online. Some items confusing as where to inter them (Workmen `s Comp). At the "check for errors" section it showed errors for questions not asked during the step by step filling out of that section. Multiple times multiple sections.
What's great about it: transfers infor from last yr taxes. fast way to do taxes.
What's not so great: wont transfer info from QB online.

Solid, as always, but always quirks

We'll continue to use TurboTax Business, but there are always quirks. This year, it was TurboTax not allowing a distribution that exceeded net profit. Overriding it in the form was fine, but I wish I didn't have to (or that TurboTax would explain why a number doesn't match what I entered).
Also, it seemed to want to file a personal tax form on behalf of the business for one of our states. Just weird stuff like that. But otherwise it's solid, as always.
What's great about it: Handles Multi-Member LLC with S-Corp election
What's not so great: Requires overriding sometimes

Balance Sheet Problems

Overall I love TurboTax for Business. I have used for a few years now but I still have one beef with it. The Balance Sheet is a problem every year and takes me hours of time to reconcile. After working for ages this year and rechecking every number two or three times to find the discrepancy I discovered that Turbo Tax had not imported my final Balance Sheet number correctly from the prior tax return. When comparing what was imported to what is in the return from prior year both on paper and within return saved to my computer, the numbers weren't brought in correctly. That is a big deal to me. Also, there needs to be a screen in the program that lets me adjust the balance sheet for rounding differences which creep up over time for everyone. Currently I have to figure out which way to adjust an expense or income item and I think it should just be an included step.
What's great about it: Almost everything is great
What's not so great: Balance sheet has problems
