Turbo is incomplete

Trust and partnership has no area to signify that a asset placed in service was inherited.
Just did a partnership return and filing instruction was missing on the federal return.

Faulty tax return software

I was unable to e-file because program would pick up scanned 8453-FE. The attachment that was supposed to be in the upper rt. hand corner of the screen to let one see the attached 8453-FE was not there.
What's not so great: could not attach scan of 8453-FE, attachment at upper rt.hand corner did not exist.

What happened to the business version

Not sure what happened to the 2017 but gee whiz does it suck. I got to the review portion and there was tons of stuff that it didn't prompt me to fill out.
Overall so glad i'm closing my business because using turbo tax for the taxes sucks.
What's great about it: Last years stuff transferred
What's not so great: Why would I buy turbo tax if you didn't prompt me with questions and forms were blank

1. no information sheet on where to mail federal business return
2. kept stating during the income section that we had real estate rental income, but we do not and I could not find any place where it may have been checked, nor hoe to turn it off

Adequate but unhappy

I use the program for trust tax returns. There is no ability to import data from my financial institution. I was asked to attach a pdf form of tax document that related to a form not part of my tax return. The help information is lacking for many topics. Could use many improvements.
What's great about it: easier than alternative
What's not so great: missing features

TT found an error while checking my return. It said the entity on the K1 wasn't correct.
It wasn't clear if this was the K-1 TT was generating for the partners or some other K1.
Since I wasn't sure which K-1 this was I put in the entity name.
Since the K-1s generated each had the partner's names on them, I'm not sure what K-1 I was putting the name on.
What's great about it: Good explanations of what different fields wanted.
What's not so great: When TT did the error checking at the end it came up with an error on a K1. It said the entity name wasn't in there.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Simple and Easy LLC Filing

This is the second year I have filed our LLC taxes with TurboTax. It gets easier and easier with time. I found it best to not automatically transfer from QuickBooks because of the account mapping and it went far quicker and easier doing that.
Overall, very happy with the product and support.
What's great about it: Very good explanations
What's not so great: None
