Lacks innovation

I've been using Turbotax for my personal taxes since the early 90's. I've been using it for my business since 1996. I'm surprised how little it has improved over the years. For example, why does it take so many screens to enter a single asset? Also, when something is out of balance, it should have some type of report that lists everything in one place to make it easy to compare.
Also, I use QuickBooks online, but it's been a few years since I've used the import feature because it creates such a mess every time I've used it. Before I will trust it again, it needs to have some sort of "preview" option so I can see exactly what the import will include and exclude so that I can easily figure out what's missing.
What's great about it: Transfers data from previous years
What's not so great: Clumsy interface
Pros: I bought or sold investments

The transfer of information from the previous year is very helpful and time saving. The ease of use in forms or one-step is amazing. The review is extremely useful. Highly recommend the program.
What's great about it: Very easy to use.
What's not so great: Wanted to efile but couldn't because of supporting schedules that needed to be attached.

Needs some work

I've been using TurboTax for years for my personal taxes and have been extremely satisfied. I was disappointed, however, when I found the Business software much less user friendly to those that are unfamiliar with accounting jargon. They do have their 'explain this' links next to most questions or statements, but their explanations use the same language and accounting terminology. If I didn't understand it in the first sentence, I don't think using the same words 3 more times is going to help. If I can't use your software without being plugged into Google for definitions, then your explanations need some help.
What's great about it: allowed me to do my own taxes (with minimal headache)
What's not so great: Hard to understand, and the available explanations don't help

A hour and a half latter, I am done with my wife's taxes. Can't say it was fun, but it was easier than last year.
What's great about it: imported last years data
What's not so great: still lost about taxes

Prepare Turbo Tax Business

Some data were somehow not captured even though I have made the change and enter the new data. Ex. Accumulated depreciation never got updated with my new entry. I have to go to Balance Form to manually input the accumulated depreciation.
What's great about it: Familiar with Turbo Tax. Transfer data from prior year.
What's not so great: Form 4562 was released on Feb 9, way late as I started the tax preparation right after new year.
Pros: I bought or sold investments, I moved

TurboTax for business (LLP in our case) continues to be the easiest and always up to date means for prepping and filing required forms.
What's great about it: direct or coached data entry
What's not so great: sometimes confusing access to adjust LLP owner capital
