Tax Prep

I have used Turbo Tax for many years now and have been happy with the product. In years past the guided tax prep seemed to have a little more detail and guidance available. This year seamed to require a little more digging for questions and help.
What's great about it: Easy Prep
What's not so great: Guided prep not as detailed

Endless Error Loop

So, after this experience, I couldn't resolve the error, which let me choose between:
-Don't file it
-File it with an error
-Take it to an accountant to try to figure it out.

CA state program said all data would be transferred. It was not. The CA state program generated BOTH an LLC return and a partnership return for the partnership.
I bought the Federal program to do an Estate return, an LLC return, and a partnership return. I has to buy CA software for each. NOT clearly disclosed and apparently the LLC and partnership are not properly separated.
State review said there were errors in not entering beginning % of allocations. But, program would not allow entry or transfer from Federal. Then review said overrides were errors. Which is it?
What's great about it: Forms were printed
What's not so great: all data NOT transferred from Federal to State

Terrible - Rural America

If you want country business (which does amount to a lot) you need to make a Mac version - for simplicity - for internet - for everything!!!!
What's great about it: Works but expensive - Windows eats up too much internet data for rural America
What's not so great: Windows eats up internet - Make Mac Version!

Very easy to use

This is the second year that I have used this for our business and the cost and time savings are great. It used to take our accountant a long time to finish them because they have so many clients.

1120S tax for non-accountant

Been using Turbo Tax for many years. I run a simple 1120S corporation and my bills from my accountant where getting out of hand. So far so good with the IRS!
What's great about it: Simple and easy to use
What's not so great: nothing really
