What's not so great: Utah State software was just forms, it didn't really walk me through it.

The fact that I am unable to continue with the filing of our Partnership Return to completion, because you do NOT support electronic filing for the State of Montana, causes me extra work and confusion. I finally downloaded the State of Montana forms for the Partnership Return and then had to enter the information on line, which doesn't even total the entries. then had to finally print off the return and submit it by mail to the State of Montana unable to file the Partnership electronically. Also, when I loaded the software, it did not transfer the tax return for federal purposes from the 2016 tax return filed? What's going on there??
What's not so great: State of Montana not supported

Why no MacOS version yet

Why after all these years, and the increasing number of people switching to Macs, is there still not a MacOS version of this program? Why does Turbo Tax Business still not imort datafrom QuickBooks Online? Intuit is not putting any serious resources into development, they are just dong the bare minimum required so that we keep forking over our money every year. It's sad.
What's great about it: works great
What's not so great: windows only, no import from Quickbooks Online

Somewhat Improved

The product has improved over the years I have been using it, but it is still not as user friendly as other products for individual taxpayers, such as "Home & Business," Still have to look up stuff and insert information & instructions are not always that clear. All in all, though, a very good product that saves the preparer a lot of time.
What's great about it: Did most of the work
What's not so great: Had to look things up that should have transferred from previous year.

Lacking some bells and whistles

Fed/State 1041 Returns: Can't import investment income or gains/losses from brokerage firm. Can't email State return. State return doesn't print Fed K-1s as part of package .... must print separately. State instructions don't specify need to include a brokerage stmt for summary transactions.

2017 TurboTax Business

This program is very helpful in preparing our limited liability corporate tax return and preparing the K-1's. Makes entry of data easy with one exception. Each year the partners take a cash distribution based on the profits made and desired future reserves they want. The cash distribution is distributed based on equity percentage held by each partner. The program handles the distributions fine, but to enter the total amount of the cash distribution you need to go to forms mode. It seems they would ask the question in the Q&A section, like they do with all other items.
What's great about it: Carries things forward from prior years.
What's not so great: Have to go to forms in order to post cash distributions to partners.
