The New 2017 Turbo Tax has been rewritten so that those who also have SSA1099 forms don't get lost anymore
What's great about it: Easy to follow instructions

MS filing no accurate

MS returned not accepted due to not having Form 4684 attached. it should have been attached as all information was in federal return and it was accepted. Cannot find way to attach form so now will have to file by mail. This should have been known by Turbo Tax with what I have to spend for accurate service that I did not receive.
What's not so great: Poor Turbo Tax

Suggestion: Detailed list of all items needed, licenses, etc. prior to start. GET RID OF THE NICKNAME IT IS A PAIN IN THE NECK AND A WASTE OF GOOD TIME.

Easy Every Year

We use this every year and it is always easy to understand and convenient. This year there was only one part that was confusing. At the end when it goes through the identity verification it asks for our gross income from the previous year. We filed jointly so the income imported from the previous year was combined. But the system brings up individual pages for me and my husband, both showing the combined income from the previous return. The way it is asked/displayed seems like it wants our individual income from our w2. Everything else was clear and easy.
What's great about it: It works well for me because we have a simple return. Easily walks you through each step.

2017 Basic Tax Program

Have used TurboTax for over 10 years. Easy to use and understand (for most part). A couple items were not easily understood like filing 1099-K. Couldn't file where thought it should be but as "other income". Would be great to see it in appropriate area and listed as such.
What's great about it: Great program; used for many, many years.
What's not so great: Availability. Not readily available this year.
