Leaks

Less than 8 months old and leaks all over the floor. Fortunately, I had put it in a plastic tub to protect my wood floors. I can't find the source of the leak; there's no evident cracks so must be the tank seals. Warranty is useless as Vornado does not respond to online support.
Pros: Quiet
Cons: Flimsy
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I would but it again BUT........

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love it, it's very economical and works well. I like that it shuts off when the desired humidity is desired. The things I don't like... limited on what humidity you want, ranges from 40-60%. It works for most people though so I can live with that however the thing I dislike is having to be the filter. This could get costly depending on how much you use it... not sure if you can run it without the filter or not, maybe. Wish they would just make re-usable filters (wash them and go) instead of making you constantly buy new ones. It works well well though and it says it will operate for rooms up to 750sq ft. My room I have it in is considerable less but gets it up there (at night it's super quiet, 3 different fan settings) and shuts itself off. It's a high quality product and would recommend it! It's easy to use as well!

Quality Humidifier in a Beautiful and Compact Package

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this humidifier because I was sick of the cheap low quality humidifiers I have used the last several winters. I get headaches about half the year if the humidity is too low or too high due to sinus pressure. My headaches can be debilitating so I need precise humidity control. Luckily this Vornado humidifier has done a great job at maintaining ideal humidity in my 800sqft apartment. After getting some significant use out of this system, I can tell it is holding up much better than any of my other wicking or hot steam humidifiers. This unit seems very durable and has been reliable. This model comes with a good warranty so with proper care it should last a long time. Cleaning can be a chore with any humidifier especially if you have hard water like me, but this model was simple enough to disassemble, clean, and put back together. There are some really nice details that Vornado paid attention to for this system including an accurate humidistat and a photodetector to dim the LED in the display. Overall, I think this is a quality system that will last a long time while keeping your home or part of your home the perfect humidity.

Great Except for 1 Thing

I had to replace my last evaporator humidifier and wasn't happy about it. But I'm glad I found out Vorando makes them I have two of their fans. I like all the features this model has to offer and my bedroom is small living in NYC but figured since I sleep with the window open it would make it easier to fill up the room humidity level faster. I was surprised the unit is smaller than I thought not good with visualizing measurements nonetheless unit is smaller than what I replaced and that to good. Everything is great easy to use and most of all surprisingly quiet! I use the energy smart setting and run it when I'm going to bed only. By the time I awake the tank needs to be filled again and I find it annoying coming from a 5 gallon tank. It makes we wish I bought the double tank. Since it's so small I place it on my night stand instead of the floor. I don't wake up to nose bleeds or dry coughing so has to be working. I believe I have hard water so I bought two extra wicks immediately. To early in purchase to see how often it will need to be replaced. My other con is sealing the tank with the cover is weird. It's a simple screw on and off with not much turning involved. If you are not careful I can see how you might think you secured it and turn it upside down to find it's not secured on correctly, I wish they created a better apparent function there. Good looking unit and for my two cons I give it 4 stars. I hope it last me a long time.

It's a keeper

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After three months of drought in my hot coastal climate, I was ready to put some moisture back into our A/C-parched air! However, the day before the arrival of my humidifier, the drought broke, and it has now rained for two weeks, with the outdoor air at or above 80% humidity most days. I still gave this humidifier a run to see if it was "smart" enough to know that the weather was naturally taking care of humidity this week. Results: I think it was! I set the humidity level to 40%, the fan turned on briefly, and then shut itself off. I got the same results when I set the humidity level higher. I believe this is a quality product. IMPORTANT: Its design is different enough from the run-of-the-mill home humidifiers that many of us are familiar with that I emphatically suggest reading the manual front to back before attempting to use it. I think that with proper preparation, this is an easy way to keep your home at a comfortable humidity level without having to babysit the machine.
Pros: Adjustable, Doesn't OVER-humidify, Large water reservoir, Lightweight, No spills, Quiet, Water reservoir very easy to fill and transport
Cons: Care required when adjusting position on floor, Not exactly intuitive, Tedious to read and comprehend user manual, Wouldn't recommend for travel

Best Humidifier I have owned

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This humidifier really impressed me. I woke up the a couple nights with dry eyes, dry lips, dry mouth. So I decided to get a humidifier. I buy a LOT of products online so as usual I looked through many, many humidifiers until I found this one. I'm so glad I did choose this one. Use as humidifier: I have a rather large bedroom, and it really helps the moisture levels throughout, as far as I can tell. I do keep it on my nightstand to get the best effect while sleeping. After I had it going all night, I would wake up and it would still be on, and I felt great. No dry mouth, lips, eyes, anything. Personally I fill it to the max fill line and set it so it goes to auto off, and this seems to work the best for me. If your room isn't as dry, you can try the 1, 3, or 6 hour functions. Now that it's summer, I have it going pretty much 24/7 since it's so dry. Use as diffuser: I got a set of essential oils for use with this as well, and it works great! My room smells so nice. Just a couple drops every couple days. I recommend this set that I bought: Floral Set of 6 Premium Grade Fragrance Oils - Violet, Jasmine, Rose, Lilac, Freesia, Gardenia - 10ml but don't just get this one right away, there may be better sets on the market right now so do your own research too. Aesthetic: It looks REALLY nice. Truly looks as pictured, I didn't know a humidifier could look so nice. I get compliments on it all the time! Light: The light settings are a nice touch, I personally don't use them a lot, but I occasionally do and it could replace your night light if you use one! The first setting fades through all the colors, and each still color has a bright and dim version, another nice touch. The best part is that there's also a light at the top where the vapor comes from, so when the light is on you can see

Well made Humidifier
