Very quiet and effective

Compared to our previous ultrasonic humidifier and small fan (to circulate the water vapor in our bedroom), this is vastly quieter and almost as effective. Doesn’t crank as much water into the room, but the upsides of less noise and no white powder and not feeling the chilly breeze MORE than make up for it. We’re already planning to replace another humidifier on the main floor with a larger model Vornado.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Would be great ...if....

Our first Vornado humidifiers were the EVD300. I really liked them until they started leaking all over the place. The issue could be a simple design fix but I haven't seen them do anything about the fact that the silicone seal on the bottom of the water tank is way too thin !!... I ended up have to use jelly roll pans to place them on to catch the leaking water. The company did replace the tanks and silicone rings but that really doesn't solve leaking. If they made a sealed water tank on the bottom with an open fill top on the tank, it would be perfect !! I ended up not using them anymore and switched to their EV3 black model. Much better...fills from the top. Vornado....you can do better with this.

These units don't last. The first lasted a few months, they replaced it and the second on only a few weeks.
