Easy to use, easy to fill, easy to clean, but paper filters inside aren't wicking the water up and are mostly dry (right from new). Room humidity rose from around 18% to now around 20% with humidifier on high 24/7. Needs a better filter or occasional pump of water onto the top of the filters to make this work. My old small 1gal ultrasonic (designed for a much smaller room) last year went through 2 gallons/day in the same spot...thought this one rated for 4 gallons/day would give more, not less.

Leaks

I bought this version with the two water bottles as well as one with the one water bottle and they all leak. I have to keep the humidifiers on trays to hold all the water that spills out of them.

EVDC doesn't work

I bought this and fill both tanks and initially it works, the fans kick on, but after 1-2 minutes, the fans stop. I have an air sensor in my home so my humidity is low, and the device humidity level is set higher, even at max setting it does not kick on. Waste of money and now I have to send it back. I will not be trying Vornado products anymore.

Bought two, bummed I did. Not a good product

The product started off great. I bought two of them for roughly 1500 square feet of space to make sure I was going to get full coverage. I was very pleased with the first few weeks of using this humidifier. I noticed a difference and I also watched my humidity readings in my house stay constant and higher than normal compared to last year which was nice. The percentage was around 40-45% humidity with the settings on the machine set at 60%, fan on HH. It would turn off every one in while because it would reach the level of humidity from what the machine thought was correct. After the first cleaning and buying new filters after a month, things went downhill quickly from there. I bought new Vornado filters for both of my machines and cleaned them like the directions say to do. The humidifiers now can't even get the room past 30% humidity anymore, they run constantly and I also bought two sets of filters for each humidifier in the past month and a half thinking that was the problem. I can't figure out what happened to these things. Everything was great and then that was it, they barely work. I would refill the canisters everyday. Now, I refill them maybe every 3-4 days. I would not recommend these humidifiers for anyone and I really regret buying them. I was deciding between these and the steam humidifiers and wish I got the steam ones instead. At least they might work better....maybe....
Pros: Compact, Quiet, Stable Base
Cons: Doesn't Humidify, Lacks Power, Undersized for room space

The new filters don't work

This unit worked great for the first year. The second year, it was not providing nearly the humidity it did originally. We've cleaned and replaced the filters several times, cleaned the entire unit as per the instructions with only slight short term improvement. The filters, always Vornado spec replacements, don't seem to be wicking much moisture. They are never moist to the touch, so I don't see how they can be providing much humidity. I wonder if the replacement filters are the same as the original or if they have been downgraded. Anyway, the unit now is just a waste of energy. Not to be recommended.

Too many problems!

Bought this for a small home and it did keep the air humid. The tanks are difficult to open and close. The control panel was glitchy and customer service said it would take months to fix. The latest wicks will not stay moist.
Cons: Loud

Fantastic Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used a number of humidifiers in the past and this one is by far my favorite. I really like that I can see the tank so I can quickly see the water level and know if I need to add more water. The product works well and is quiet. Further I have tested the humidity level to my hygrometer and after running for several hours it matches the hygrometer perfectly.
Pros: Compact, Good Power Output, Lightweight, Quiet

Had the unit for a few years. We only ever need them in the winter. Somehow the control panel just won't turn on this year. It was finicky last year and would turn itself off if bumped ever so slightly. It's like the control unit is supposed to sense when everything below it is in position, but even when everything is good to go, it still won't turn on because one of the various sensors isn't working correctly and it won't tell you which one.
The added complexity with the unit has made it a less reliable/resilient product. The old, "dumb" humidifiers (all vornado) that we still have for the rest of the house at least still work.
