I am so happy with this Humidifier!

I have had this humidifier for 2 months. It does an excellent job humidifying my entire 1200 sq ft house. I keep it my bed room and I am amazed how much better my allergies, hair and skin feel. It is really easy to refill and clean. Just replaced the wicks, no problem. There is a light at night, which I don't mind. Noise is as expected, quiet fan comes on and off and the water will bubble once in a while as the base re-fills, but it is barely noticeable. I use it 24/7 and only need to add water every 3 days or so.
Pros: Durable, Easy To Maintain, Simple Design, Stable Base
Cons: Light May be too Bright for some

I purchased two units for my home, and so far I've been very happy with them. I keep one in the downstairs main part of the house and the other in the primary bedroom. They have made my desert home so much more comfortable. I can see and feel the difference the extra humidity has made in my skin, hair, nasal passages and my eyes. The unit is very quiet, aside from the occasion gurgle when the water goes into the base. Now that I've changed out the filters for the first time, I notice that the units are quite easy to clean. There is no white dust on my floors and furniture, which was a problem with other humidifiers I have owned. The design is elegant and they fit well with our decor. As an added bonus, my houseplants love it too!

We recently moved from a house where all the heating/cooling comforts were "piped-up" from the basement through the HVAC system. Low humidity levels became a real problem in our new apartment home when the heating system was started. Having purchased other Vornado products in the past, I ordered this unit to help with the situation - huge improvement once the humidifier was started. I have since ordered a second unit to fully humidify our 2400 sq feet of living space. The Energy Smart feature works well for variable fan speeds and quiet sleeping noise levels. I also appreciate the ease in filling the water canisters and keeping the unit clean.

no more white dust, but not much humidity, either

Decided to try this instead of the cool mist humidifier I had been using for the last few years. (I got tired of the white dust all over everything.) The humidity has yet to go over 40% according to a separate hygrometer that I have set up in the room. That means the device runs continuously because it never gets up to 50%. With continuous running, the pads dry out. I thought running at slower speed might help, but still they dry out. I guess the only solution is to allow for a period of not running at all to enable the pads to soak up the water again. I'm experimenting with how long I can run it without the pads drying out. No answer yet; I've had it less than a month.

Bought this humidifier because of Vornado’s excellent reputation for quality products & is easy to use.
Cleaning our old humidifier was difficult but is a breeze with this new EVDC500.
Works great, quiet motor. Not disappointed at all!

Bought two units. One unit worked for about 30 seconds and stopped work. Second unit work for about 1 month and then the fan developed a loud rattle. Not satisfied at all.

Initially worked great

Purchased this last January. For the remainder of the heating season it worked great, raising my homes humidity level from 28 to 40 percent. As heating season has just started brought this unit out and filled the tanks. Within hours the tanks were empty, unfortunately most of the water had leaked out onto my carpet. It seems that the valves at the base of the water canisters do not seal and the water overflows from the lower reservoir. Good thing this was not near my wood floors!

First one received was defective. Fan would not function. You replaced it with another. Thanks for that. The second one doesn't function either. Fan ran for 15 seconds and has stopped working on any setting. Since you do not do refunds and only replace the product I now have two I have to pay to recycle. I sure do not want another one as the two I got were defective out of the box. Bad experience, never again with that model.
