Great hardware. Great display.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great hardware, great display. Good camera but not as good as pixel 2 or iPhone 8. Software can be better. Having issue with default contact phone app, freezes once contact selected from call log. Annoying.
Pros: Style/Design, Quality, easy to use

I've had all of the G and V series phones and loved them all, but I would find myself wishing that I could combine my favorite features into one phone. Well, the LG V30 did just that. Simply the best phone I've ever owned!

Love the screen, the battery...?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I bought this I knew I would need to learn the quirks of an LG after a long Sony history. The picture is amazing, most of the time it runs flawlessly. Sometimes it just randomly drains battery even when it’s idle sitting face down on the desk at work: when I check what is using battery it just says “phone idle” and “google services”. Don’t love the extra bloatware that came installed but the memory is good enough.

Amazing screen and capabilities

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are a lot of really great things about this phone, my favorites include the amazing AMOLED screen (come on, who can argue with 16 MILLION color possibilities?!), the fact that it has a headphone jack (and with a quad deck, it sounds amazing), and the camera (hello wide angle!).
I only have three real changes I'd made to this phone - 1. Front facing speakers: I find the way that I hold the phone constantly is blocking the output. My Nexus 6P had dual front facing speakers and I honestly miss them.
2. Curved front glass: personally, having a curved front screen just makes it a nightmare to find a good tempered glass protector and good case. I would get rid of this in a heart beat.
3. For some reason, about 1/3 of the time when I try to use Google Play, it just totally craps out on me, like it's got brain freeze or something. I wouldn't necessarily blame this on the V30, but I would like it addressed.

All things considering, the pros vastly outweigh the cons. Highly recommend just checking this phone out in person. You'll get hooked on the screen or camera alone.
