Since the display is what you see for every function you have to love how clear and crisp this one is.

What a disappointment

Great camera, terrible phone. The battery life is garbage, the screen flickers, huge delay when browsing the web. I had it for 4 days and sent it back. Not worth the hassle to try a new phone. Wait for the S9 or get a new iPhone.

Very disappointed with gorilla glass & durability
on February 12, 2018

I have had my V30 for about a month. One of the reasons I bought it was for the Gorilla glass and its supposed "durability". The phone fell from my pocket(while sitting...about 1.5') on the first day, and a corner on the back cracked! I have a hard case for the phone, and the phone has fallen 2x and now 3-4 corners are cracked on the back! SERIOUSLY? I had my G5 for 2 years, dropped it quite a few times over those two years, and NEVER CRACKED ONCE! VERY DISAPPOINTED and UPSET! I have owned 3 different Samsung phones, HTC, and the LG G5, and NEVER had any kind of cracking!
The phone itself works well..haven't had any problems with camera, dropped calls, etc.

Like the phone, not the cameras

The phone screen is terrific and fast, just don't care for the quality of pictures. Too much noise when zooming in. Put it side by side taking pics and video with Note 8, big difference. The battery life is outstanding, compared with my last phone. Going to buy the Note 8.

Hurt by poor battery
on October 12, 2017

Switching from the V20 I was expecting better battery with the amoled display. The phone performs similar too the V20 in all aspects including battery life. The later being a disappointment as I struggle to get more than 12hrs out of this with no apps syncing and about 3 hrs web browsing daily. The phone is much lighter and easier to handle thang the V20 however I do miss the notification on the second screen. Camera is fine but is still missing some basic auto modes like "action" photos which make it hard to use to photograph a toddler compared to some Samsung phones.

It was all good until I got a phone call.

Originally bought the phone for the spec of the camera lens. Figured it'll take some decent pics with Bokeh. Haven't got to test that part out. Playing games I enjoy that it doesn't lag and I can adjust the resolution and frame rate. It also has the ability to make the game full screen but it does cut off some of the view. When it's not in full screen there are about 3/16" black bars on both sides to "box" the view. Sound is also amazing out of a set of headphones. Even the cheap set can be made sound somewhat decent. But don't think of it as getting a Corolla and putting in premium fuel to turn it into a Supra. It's more like still having the high mileage Corolla with a much needed tuneup to put a pep in it's step. Now the reason to have a phone is the calling. Headphones with Mic, Great. Calls with speakerphone on, amazing. Calls with that awesome earpiece that can be used as a Mic for Crisp recording for louder events, *crickets*. Correction, not even crickets. There was nothing. Factory restart the phone and still nothing. Which is the reason for the one star. I will change the rating, if possible, once I get this one exchanged. Until then, Woot for defects!
