So far this phone has been incredible to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love listening to music and use my Sennheiser over the ears headphones on the V30. It is such a pleasure to have a phone with that jack on top. The last phone I had was 3 years old. Furthermore I have become a videographer because of the outstanding camera. I would also like to say I wished the speakers were front facing.

The camera is spectacular, especially the wide angle lens for landscapes. The floating bar is relatively useless for me, and I kind of missed the 2nd screen from my v20 at first, but I love the always on display and battery life is pretty good.

Good phone but some things could be improved

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this for a few weeks now and have to say I enjoy it for the most part. I was fearful of the banding on the screen I had heard others having a problem with. When I first got mine the screen looked flawless but now with the screen test I do see some banding. It's very faint but present in dark rooms with low brightness on the screen and a gray background. Other than that I'm happy with the rest of the hardware of the phone so far. LG's software that it ships the V30 with could be improved but that's just a preference for customization on my part. Ex: It's shortcut keys for the volume +/- but only allows you to turn them off or on. I would prefer being able to assign those shortcut keys to whatever function I want. Based on my research though each phone has its own software ups and downs. The rest of the software is within reason of my expectation.
Pros: easy to use

Beast of a phone!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this phone moving from the V10 and the V30 has everything I loved about the previous and more! Highly customizable and very feature rich. I like the floating bar just wish it was accessable through every app not just a few of them. The HiFi DAC is incredible, I am constantly listen to music or watching videos on YouTube or movies on Netflix and it just takes me deeper. The 6 inch screen is amazing: bright and vibrante color with deep blacks pair wonderfully. The camera takes beautiful pictures with lots of details. I love this phone!

Best Phone Ever

Amazing features, camera is amazing with a bunch of cool modes and effects making possible to take amazing pictures or videos, super easy to use. Love the smart settings which helps to enable features like wifi bluetooth depending on your location. The screen is amazing as well as the quality of the materials and the design. Size is perfect and is light. I had a nexus 6 a iphone and samsung s3 in the past that I loved them but compare to the V30, this one seriously is the best

Used Samsung for over 15 yrs, switched it to LG V30 weeks ago and it's just great!!

Great main camera, disappointing selfie camera

I especially love the ability to be able to manually change the setting like focus, ISO, etc. The screen has also been great for me. I have heard problems of screens being dotted or other problems, but it has been fine for me so far. My biggest problem with the phone is its selfie/ user facing camera. It takes terribly pixelated photos unless in absolutely perfect light. It also has a default "beautify mode", essentially smoothing your skin to cover blemishes, that can not be deactivated for third party apps like Snapchat. Since that is literally the only time I take selfie's it is very annoying. Last of all, I moved from an Iphone to the V30 and found that android in general has SO MUCH bloatware. Although not a V30 specific problem, it's worth mentioning. In conclusion, a good phone.
