[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My experience with this phone has been overwhelmingly amazing so far.
The incredibly quick fingerprint reader also doubles as the power button, and it feels amazing. The only issue I have had with this is when trying to put the phone to sleep, it occasionally rereads the fingerprint and unlocks the phone again.
I'm not a graphic artist, so display colors seem vibrant and look great overall. The only issue I have with the display is that one handed (and sometimes two handed) video playback is nearly impossible to scrub through a video without the screen detecting touch on the sides of the phone. I wish I could set a temporary deadzone on the edges of the display while watching video content, so that I didn't accidentally swipe down the notification menu or anything else while trying to watch the video. Other than that, touch is extremely responsive, and the display is very fluid.
Battery life is excellent as well. I consume a decent amount of YouTube, Reddit, and Twitter throughout the day, as well as playing ~1 hour of music through YouTube each night, and I haven't ever dropped below 25% so far.
The DAC performs just as you think it would, with 75 steps of volume adjustment. I'm not a photographer, but the camera seems very nice, and can capture some very usable pictures in poor lighting conditions. Also, the overall design of the phone is gorgeous, and feels amazing while holding it, and the volume and power buttons feel great.
Overall, I am very happy with this phone, and am very excited to see LG embrace the headphone jack well into the future, until wireless headphones become superior to wired headphones.
Pros: Style/Design, Features/Settings, Performance, Quality, easy to use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Camera, amazing! Manual mode for photos and videos, unbelievable! Screen, Gorgeous! Fast and reliable! And the Sound! Out of this world... And I owned a Note 8!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] From a four year old Nexus 5 to the LGv30. LG you gotta step up the software, aside from that, best phone. Camera knocks my socks off. Battery life might be an issue to the high tech article writers but it lasts all day and that is totally fantastic for me. Hope this lasts as long as that Nexus 5 RIP.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I pre-order it and got it first and love how light in weight it is, how clear the screen is, vibrant color, amazing camera and how you are able to customized your phone to your own unique style.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got the phone almost a month ago and I'm blown away. V30 is fast, elegant and durable. I easily get 2 days use of battery life with moderate use. Processor is quick and doesn't lag. Can multitask with split screen with ease! Has a great camera and with Holliday's approching I know I'll be capturing some great pictures and videos! Coming from a galaxy Note and I won't be going back if LG keeps it up!!!! Must buy
