[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the V30 for a few weeks and am mostly happy with it. I have small hands though and have a bit of trouble reaching the far side of the screen without using both hands. It is a fast phone, able to run multiple apps at the same time, and the camera is great.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Phone is light and fitting in hand DAC is wonderful and loving audio quality Weird Gradient isn't fun AOD is way better than the samsung one Extra storage is wonderful Even with less RAM, phone is smooth Battery life is great(haven't used power saver once yet as it's not needed)
Pros: Style/Design, Features/Settings, Performance, easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved my V10 until it died. Got the V30 and the first one had some serious screen defect. Got it replaced and havent had any problems with this one. I do really like how much more customizable it is. My only complaint so far is that it seems harder to type on. I don't know if the keyboard is smaller or if I just have to get accustomed to being more precise, but trying to type accurately is sometimes a pain.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used my V20 for the last year as a video creation tool for much of my work and the phone has been a fantastic tool. My new V30 moves the experience up a few notches.
As a photo-centric phone I must begin by saying how great the POLED screen is. The colors are vibrant without being so oversaturated that they feel fake. As a photography enthusiast, it is great to frame up a shot and realize that the colors you're seeing on the screen actually match the colors of the scene in real life. The speed of the camera makes spontaneous shots a breeze to capture and the granular controls in manual and Cine modes are fantastic for really capturing more composed photos and videos.
Of course, moving them an LCD panel to an OLED one means more power efficiency and I must say that the V30 is a revelation to me in terms of battery life. I am no-longer running to find a charger half-way through a busy day. It really is a tremendous boost to my productivity. When I am in my office, I appreciate being able to place the phone on a Qi charging pad I have had for a while. The battery charges quickly which shows how far wireless technology has come since the first phone I had with it in 2015.
Were I to register any disappointment it would be that some of the camera controls are now buried under the menu button and that this stunning V30 is much less a tank than was the V20, so it requires a case. Luckily, I have been able to locate a lightweight, leather-covered back shell that makes it much grippier, dramatically reducing the liklihood of it slipping out of my hand in the first place.
Finally, the sound! I fell in love with the Quad DAC on my V20 and the V30 notches that up a level. I love mosic from Bach to Rock and use that HiFi streaming service. Not only is the V30's sound through my earbuds comparable to what I get with my big speakers at home, but it is measurably different when I have plugged the headphone lead into my car...to the extent that people constantly ask me what stereo is in my car. It's not the car folks, it's the phone!
With the V30, LG has hit it out of the park. They have delivered a fantastic multi-media tool that has the chops to produce great video, great stills and deliver unparalleled sound...all while looking luxurious enough to slip into my tuxedo pocket for a big event. Great job LG. Keep them coming.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this phone for a month and previously thought I'd suffer withdrawal from my iphone 7 plus. This was not the case at all. I love the screen, the camera, and the fingerprint reader. Wonderful phone and I would definitely buy it again and recommend it to others.
Pros: Style/Design, Performance, Quality, easy to use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved this phone! I watch a lot on my phone, movies from Google play to YouTube videos, to Snapchat, and this screen is beautiful and does a great job of making black look black and making the best picture. The sound quality with the headphone jack is unparalleled, and really shows off with a great amount of depth. Battery life is so much better than my Samsung S7 easily twice the life.
