I want to give this 5 stars because I like this toy and my daughter loves it- she just can't use it. It's so heavy that she can't maneuver it at all and ends up getting frustrated and cries. If they made a lighter version I would buy it!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Gave it to our 1-year grandson for his birthday. We hoped that it would encourage him to stand up and walk more, since he's so fast and capable as a crawler, he doesn't try as much. Well, this has changed everything! He can't push this toy enough! Not only is he on his feet pushing this push toy all over the house, but now he thinks that EVERYTHING must be pushed all over the house! He's been pushing stools and boxes and chairs all over town!

Our 10 month old's favorite toy

We picked this up secondhand for free, and seems someone had glued felt in the gator's mouths to quiet the clacking - good call! Before our son could pull to stand he liked to play with the spinning beads on this. Now at 10 months (and not yet walking independently), he just pushes this thing back and forth across our apartment for 20 min at a time, with his dad or I just helping him turn around. He has fallen using this so it definitely requires close supervision at his age, but wow is he obsessed with this toy.
I would recommend this to a friend!
