Seems OK so far

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this because it was one of the few refrigerators available without an ice maker and water thing on the frony. It seems OK so far. I have only had it for over a month. A little noisy.

Not the Greatest Look Around

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Rear lights make the inside dark. Lights should be in front and pointed down. Same for freezer, back light gets covered by food items, dark freezer, bring a head lamp. No cheese drawer no egg tray. The shelves do not go all the way back, so things can fall behind them, who came up with this. If you pack your fridge do not buy this model, best for persons that keep 10 items in fridge. Cooling is good and freezer is capable. Cold air is pulled from one location in the freezer to the fridge part, if partially blocked it will frost up. Should have a better cold distribution system. My old Kenmore had better space. The Koreans make better thought out appliances.

It can be customized to your needs as the shelves all move around
It’s also nice and bright inside

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I debated for awhile to buy a side by side refrigerator but finally did. The refrig I have was in perfect condition but had a bottom freezer which became so difficult for me at the age of 84 yrs. bending over and pulling out the drawer with all frozen food...was so heavy and hard for me to do. I am now so happy with my new Whirlpool side by side and wish I had purchased it a lot sooner. If you are considering this for any reason buy it and be as happy as I am. What a difference and so roomy to boot!!!

Some disappointments

Looks good but lacking quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very noisy. Had the same fridge/freezer for 17 years previously and was very happy with it until it died. New model is cheaply made. Looks stylish and functional but quality has reduced. Compressor sounds like it’s on its last legs and we’ve had it for weeks only.

Helicopter in our great room

We have had our new refrigerator for 4 days. It’s sounds like we have a helicopter getting reading for takeoff in our kitchen/great room. You cannot hold conversations at the kitchen island, and the fridge can be heard across 2 floors and 2400 sq.feet. The unit is quiet for 2.5 hours a day.
The white plastic door shelves have very sharp edges. You can cut yourself while wiping them out. The freezer needs on more shelf. There are 2 areas 11 and 16 inches high. These are awkward to store anymore than a few items on unless they are boxes only that can be stacked.
The clear glass shelves and drawers do provide better visibility than our old Whirlpool fridge that was basically the same model. Unfortunately, that 33 yo unit was much quieter and sturdier. After decades of by Whirlpool, we’re done. The noise is beyond disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
