Do not buy, cannot maintain temp, cheaply made

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This review covers both the original I bought and the replacement. Worst fridge I have ever purchased. The first was delivered with a bad compressor and would not get lower than 50°F. The delivery crew blamed each other as much as they also blamed Whirlpool for using a faulty compressor. Got a replacement after A LOT of arguing on the phone and being given the run-around, despite being both in Whirlpool warranty and 48 hour warranty from where I ordered it from.
Received the second fridge and this one can barely maintain temperature in the 40°Fs, which is still too high. Almost every morning I will wake up and the temperature in the fridge will be above 45°F, despite no one opening it during the night. Please note that it is at maximum cold temperature - that doesn't help at all. Not only that, but it must be so cheaply made - closing the door to either the fridge or the freezer makes something inside rattle loudly [and we do not slam the door at all].
Do not buy this fridge. It is a miserable, headache-inducing experience. I am not looking forward to eventually having to contact the company to try and get help again about the fridge temperature issue or why it makes such awful rattling noises. DO NOT BUY.

Acceptable Price and Working as Expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a bit annoyed that this slightly smaller 22cu was MORE expensive than the identical 25cu, but pleased this model was available and happy I purchased one without the freezer space-sucking ice maker/water dispenser. The only take away is the stainless steel finger marks are already annoying me, but functionally the fridge is great. I'm not sure it will last as long as the 1986 GE it replaced but we can hope.

Side note: Next time I would definitely order through an alternate store as the customer service I received was horrendous.

More Spacious Than I Thought

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was limited in available space and did not want a top or bottom freezer. This was really my only option. You know how you feel a little backed in a corner when its the only option? Well I wasn't sure but now that we've had it a month, I'm completely happy with my purchase. Lots of door space, the shelves are deep and easy to clean. The only thing I miss is a deli drawer.

It's the first time I've had a side-by-side model & like it a lot as the freezer section makes food more visible & it holds more. The refrigerator section is excellent as shelves on the door and the inside are adjustable to suit the size of containers. My concern are: 1) the noise when the door is closed and 2) the refrigerator door moves too easily in that if one doesn't hold it open, it moves to the wide open position on its own - can it be tightened?

Extremely Underwhelmed & Disappointed

We purchased this fridge a mere week ago and although I appreciate that it fits well into our space, I am less thrilled to learn that the fridge door doesn't have a stop mechanism to prevent it from swinging wide into our quartz countertop. Very bizarre. The freezer does have a stop/ bracket...so just the fridge door that does this. We had a service technician come out to look at the issue (remember, this is a fridge we've been using for three days) and he ordered **two** new parts and suggested they were required due to wear n' tear. The worst part...it will take four-to-six weeks to receive the part. We're incredibly disappointed and expected so much more from the brand. Our last refrigerator belonged to the previous owners and ourselves for 20+ years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good bang for the buck

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far so good. Makes some odd subtle sounds sometimes. Only had it a few months. Everything works fine. Seems like if the refrigerator is set too cold there’s condensation dripping onto the freezer top seal and freezes things at the back top. Seems like there’s not a lot of options for different shelf heights, especially in the doors but we are used to it now. Took a while to figure out that the door height can be adjusted so they close properly. Overall a very good fridge that I think will last a long time.
