Adequate refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this side by side to replace a 30 yr old side by side by another brand. Old refrigerator worked but was afraid it would break down. The space for the refrigerator is constricted in height. This was the only model I could find at the right height w/o a water and ice dispenser which I did not want. The refrigerator is smaller but it's adequate. I would have paid more for a higher end model but it was almost impossible to find one at the right height and w/o ice/water. the plastic bins are cheap. It would be nice if there were holders for ice cube trays so they don't take up so much room in the freezer. It's a refrigerator, and it's adquate.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worst appliance purchase ever

I had to go with a 33" refrigerator, hard to find and even more difficult in black. I received my refrigerator today. The hinges not only are NOT hidden, but are SILVER metal on the top and PLASTIC on the bottom! They are hideous! The front is very scratched - why not use the textured finish on the front as well as the sides? It LOOKS CHEAP, both inside and out and it was NOT cheap. I wasted a great deal of money! My kitchen has only had Whirlpool appliances in close to 40 years. NEVER AGAIN!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Roomy for size of Frig - Needed extra Bid on Door

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice design, light in the freezer was good. I had a GE with no light in the freezer. What a pain. Needed an extra door bin (there was space for one). I bought an extra as an OEM. There is still room for milk and tall items. Looks like they were trying to cheap out on that. Did not get a door dispenser as it takes up too much freezer space and is another thing to break.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Getting used to it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having a 1920's kitchen, I needed a refrigerator that would fit in a small, constrained space. This was it. I am getting used to it as it is so very different from my precious refrigerator. I am not wild about bins at the very bottom of the unit. In the past I had 2 veg bins. This has only one and then a second apparently for tings like deli items. We always have lots of veggies, so the bin is a little cramped.

Happy with a couple minor issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a few weeks ago. It was delivered with a big scratch on the bottom front, but the seller is getting me a new door...look forward to that coming.
Next I chose not to get a ice maker or a water dispenser opting for the extra room inside, so I would really love another wire shelf in my freezer and it is next to IMPOSSIBLE to get one on-line. Oh, they have them but smaller than the size I need. I do know Whirlpool will not be making these in the future without ice and water...that stinks for people like myself that do not want those features in a side by side refrigerator.

Small size, mitigated by adding plastic bins

Freezer shelves work out great compared to the alternative bin freezer models especially after adding plastic bins to each shelf to make access much easier. Refrigerator is small, but adding bins on each shelf helps. In both cases bins allow “reaching” way back to be as easy as pulling out the bin. Good choice for those forced to limit width to 33 inches.
