This is the greatest a/c unit Iv'e had! Installation was a snap and remote is our best friend! Made by a great manufacture!

Installation was a bit more complicated than expected because the A/C with its plastic flaps was about 1/4" wider than listed - therefore I had to remove one of them.
The unit itself is powerful, as I will explain. I ordered it in July because it was unbearably hot. Two days after it arrived the outside temperature became much cooler, and remained that way for the rest of the summer, so I ran it for just a few hours. Such powerful cooling by just having the unit in my window - that's really powerful, wouldn't you agree?

I read reviews before I buy, always. Take my word for it, this a/c unit saved me when my HVAC unit went out. It was September in Florida and it was hot outside but cool inside!!! Installation was a breeze.

I am happy with the functioning of this unit. I was disappointed with the instructions and the actual process of the installation. The screws provided were for the most part hard to fit. Seems to me more care could have been used in designing the installation process. Like self tapping sheet metal screws.The video makes it look easy, but it took me almost three hours to install. (I am a building contractor.) The printed directions were too small to read easily and were not easy to comprehend.

Terrible Installation Instructions

Just bought the LW1214ER Air Conditioner and tried to install it. Poor detail pictures and instructions. First instruction is insert the frame guide into the bottom of the cabinet. Picture looks like you should use a screw but no screw type given and you cannot tell where it wants you to insert it. Next instruction is fasten the curtains to the unit with 8 type A screws. Problem is it doesn't say or show which way curtains face and the type A screws are not sharp and will not go into the holes provided. I put the unit back into the box and will go buy a unit from another provider tomorrow.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This air conditioner came with easy to use directions to set up and start using- the remote worked very well and is a great convenience. Performance was also very good and my 435 sq ft bedroom was very comfortable

I installed it and we use it daily. It does a great job for the room we installed it in. I would recommend this product to everyone I know. The remote control and the timer are great features.

My small window air unit gave out. So I bought this Lg. I am glad I did. Love the temp feature the fan speeds and the timer. This unit also tells you when you need to clean the filter. I would buy it again.
