Wonderful ACs.

I bought two window units in April 2012 when we had some HOT days. Relatively easy to install for my boyfriend with a little help. They run beautifully. Cool to the max. I live in a small house, but couldn't ask for better products. I would recommend them highly.

Happy with our air conditioner

The unit has met our expectations. It’s quiet for its size and does a good job cooling the two rooms. The positive reviews of this unit helped us make our decision when comparing other units. Disappointed that the warranty is limited to one year. We will look at other LG units in the future.

Does the job well

I purchased this AC to replace an older 10000 BTU AC. I'm using it to cool 3 rooms, a total of approx. 500 square feet. I received it at the start of a heat wave here in the north east. The temps have ranged from 96-99 degrees with above average humidity. This AC is doing a good job keeping the rooms cool. It will cool the rooms to within 5 degrees of the selected temperature, which in this heat and in this drafty space, is excellent. That's about 10 degrees cooler than my older AC. On average summer days (80 to 90 degrees), it cools my area fine. It's not too noisy either and it's very easy to install. My only gripe is it shows the selected temperature; not the actual temp of the room. Other than that, I'm very pleased with this unit.

Nice AC

I only used the LG window ac for less than three weeks, while I waited for a new heat pump. The 12,000 btu LG had its work cut out for it, trying to cool off the entire house, when the temperature was over 100 degrees several days. The LG ac will be installed in my garage after the old Sharp ac quits working.
I did install a steel grill on the LG ac to help protect the cooling fins. Although these units cool well, the ac chassis is not made as study as window ac units used to be made.

easy to install, guiet and sufficient heat/cool for 230 sq. ft. efficiency apts. only downfall, temperature selected is displayed at all times as opposed to current room temp.

Wall Installation was easy. Unit cools well, quickly and more quitely than other brands that I've owned.
Hopefully the engergy star rating will also mean a savings in electricity.

Made it through one hot summer

So far, so good. We used this on the first floor at one end of an open floor plan. It managed to keep the humidity down and the temps in the 70's, even when it was 90's outside. It's not quiet, but it's a big AC unit, so I suppose it's what I expected. I used fans to circulate the air through the home and back to the unit. Really heavy, but the bracket and sleeve work very well once you figure it out. Install the bracket and sleeve, then slip the main until in. An average man can probably do it alone - I could - but pulling the main unit in and out is really better done with a partner.
Overall, satisfied with the purchase after one summer.

Beats the Heat!

I purchased this a/c to replace my other unit which just couldn't keep my house comfortable in the hottest weather. We had a heat spell, and my 4 a/c units could not keep my house comfortable when it got in the 90's. I replaced two units with LG a/c, and noticed the difference. I then only needed 3 a/c units running to cool my house. But when I switched the LG units to "DRY", my house was noticeably cooler with only TWO units! They take out the humidity, cool my house, run less frequently (the thermastat does all the work), and I'm sure my electric bill will see the difference. I wish I had purchased these units before! I will definitely purchase LG when it 's time to replace any of my other units.
