I was really excited to get this on sale, and a huge selling point for me was the pre-determined water dispenser amounts. The fridge is fine but the pricepoint is high. It's huge and well organized and I like the door-in-door feature, but the pre-dispensed amounts only work if you hold the lever back, which I feel like completely defeats the purpose of setting it to give you a certain amount...
With a family of 5, I needed a large refrigerator. This fridge does not fail!
We love the extra tall water dispenser. We are always refilling water bottles and we can fit them all in this dispenser! We can even refill the Keurig.
There are drawers and spaces for everything!
We also love the door in a door function. We can access our milk, coffee creamer, butter with the push of a button without releasing all of the cool air in the fridge.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The reason I gave this refrigerator three stars is because the shelves and the compartments inside are made of a very cheap plastic. I own a KitchenAid also, and although those are more expensive, the utility drawers and the shelves and compartments are so much more sturdy and better made. At the price of this refrigerator I would’ve thought that the parts would have been of a sturdier material.
I bought this after looking at features as well as checking out consumer reviews. So here is what I like about this refrigerator: lots of light, great amount of space including the freezer, which I was so lacking in my former fridge. I like the digital display but still haven’t figured out the WiFi, which doesn’t seem to be working for me. Also the door on the left closes great but the right side needs a good push. The ice maker is good but the crushed ice tends to go everywhere, so the design of the hole it exits from still needs work. The button door is nice to grab things from, but it does take some time to remember it. In spite of those things, I still think I will keep it.
I love the ice maker. I do not really love the fridge. The right hand door does not open much beyond 90 degrees, making drawer removal and cleaning a challenge. I had repair teams come out, clueless, and there was no fix. Ironically, we purchased another LG, slightly different but still with a door-in-door and it does open fully. Which begs the question, why were they telling me that my door does not open more than 90 degrees because of the door-in-door feature. Think twice. Make sure you are okay with it because one it is delivered, you are stuck.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I enjoy the appearance and quiet operation of this unit. My wife really likes the 3rd door idea. I like the ice maker storage tray. For a 6' x 3' space, it seems to be a lot of storage. Access to the freezer compartment is great! Consumer Report Magazine gives great reviews.
Pros: Style/Design, ease of use, Features/Settings, Performance
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the refrigerator about 5 weeks ago and I’m very happy with it. The ice maker and water dispenser works well. There is plenty of space for everything.
