It WILL break and you will pay.

This fridge, like most of LG's appliances, will break after only a few years of use. You will call LG and spend months working with their horrible support team to try to schedule a time for a tech to come out. Which will inevitably be cancelled. After that, they will tell you the fridge is out of warranty and you will pay out of pocket for a fix. Skip the headache and just find a different brand. I'd avoid Samsung too. Both brands are overpriced junk.

Increase is stars will depend on service

Bought LG fridge 3 years ago. 24 hours ago, freezer wasn’t at temp. Today fridge and freezer are at 50 degrees. Call into service, as I purchased extended warranty, scheduled for Monday 9/23. 7 days for service, I’m sure the unit will be at room temp by then. Lost all freezer food and most fridge food. If this repaired or replaced I will update. However, at this point I would advise not to purchase I should have gotten more than 3 years from this appliance. The appliance was placed as specified and was not moved more than a few inches, to allow cleaning behind. It failed on its own.

Don't purchase LG

I purchased the predecessor to this refrigerator, the LGFXS30766S, and it only lasted 5 1/2 years, during which the compressor failed at a year and a half, and I was charged almost $600 in labor to replace the compressor, which was provided by LG. Now the refrigerator has failed again, and in order to keep it I would be looking at paying another $600 in labor because LG is unwilling to cover the labor again, so I'm done with LG.

Fridg water dispenser sticking is a common problem

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great frig but a common problem is the failure/sticking of the water/ice dispenser. We use water and ice in empty glasses/containers. No possible contamination from splashing. It lasted all of a year and 9 months.

Icemaker doesn't work, today the water dispenser doesn't work, and once again gettine the COE notification on the control panel. Now waiting for service man to work on it. Originally to fix icemaker now the water dispenser doesn't work and getting the COE message again on the control panel

I hate this fridge.

I bought this 2 years ago and it had been nothing but trouble. The little hidden door never stays closed. The freezer space is ok but really have to watch what you put in there and where everything gets ice build up. The gasket on the fridge is already ripped.

EXACTLY what we wanted- Very Pleased!!

Wife has been wanting a french door model for past few years and after MUCH recent research we landed on this LG model (LFXS28566S), so So very glad we did. Granted, we've only had this right at a month- but so far it's been absolutely fantastic. Delivery and setup was perfect and quick, no issues at all with dents etc or with the delivery guys. Everything was set up in the eve and by the next morning we had full ice, which has functioned flawlessly along with the water dispenser. There is so much space in this thing, espec with the door in door feature- and the LED lights are great. The bottom freezer has loads of space as well. Sure, it makes noises every now and then, but nothing alarming or too loud. We were looking at another (cheaper) LG model at first, but it did not have the fridge shelf that slides back so you can store taller items whereas this model does.
I will update this later after we've had it a while longer but as of now we are Completely Satisfied and will be looking to replace other appliances soon to LG. 2 quick tips- one, to remove the "10 year warranty" sticker on the upper right part of right-hand door, simply heat with a hair dryer for a couple minutes and it will peel right off. Two, this is advertised in store as "smudge resistant" or similar verbiage and, in fact, it indeed is...I mean yea, some prints show up here and there, but it's minimal and even when they do- quick wipe with kitchen or paper towel and boom- gone!

We love the size of the ice cubes and cold filtered water on demand, oh and can I mention all the space!!! This thing is amazing. The only thing I had to do was add 2 shins to the right side door to level them out and only took about 3 mins. We were worried about the size of the ice holder thinking it might not be big enough because we go through a lot of ice but it’s fine. We haven’t run out yet.
