Bad compressor

We love the look and overall function of this refrigerator. Unfortunately the compressor went bad after just one year. It has been over 2 weeks and LG has not sent out a technician. Apparently not many of their techs work with this type of refrigerant. Hoping LG will step up and refund me for a different brand refrigerator. Very disappointed!

Broken Down in two years?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The compressor decide to quite after only two years. Wonder if it had to do with the new design.
These new appliances are now equipped with WiFi and an application that keeps you in tune with the appliance. However it does not tell you what the actual temperature is, it also says the refrigerator is running perfectly when in fact the compressor has stopped working and all the food is totally thawed out. So the app makes no sense.
I was really hoping for much better results but apparently this refrigerator was designed around a marketing idea but not a working product.

Refrigerator not cooling

My refrigerator stopped working interesting middle of a heat wave, and ice shortage, lost hundreds of dollars worth of food. It took 2 weeks to get someone to fix it,and in the meantime I had to spend more money eating out.The compressors on this model are bad and the repair person said it may need to be replaced a second or third time. I will never buy another LG refrigerator.

Great for 3.5 years

We lost everything in the refrigerator b/c we were away for a couple days. We contacted LG and they were prompt in scheduling a repair with our local repair company but it has taken a month for the repair to be completed. That isn't LG's fault but still frustrating to be without a
Fridge for that long. It works great now and we are so thankful to have it repaired and running. I just think it should have lasted longer then 3.5 years before a repair of this type was needed.
