[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose this refrigerator based on other reviews and my own preference while looking for a reliable well designed unit. I picked this model because of the size, finish, and features I was looking for which were stainless finish, bottom freezer, quiet operation, and adjustable shelves. What I got was that and more. I love the smaller and quieter ice maker with small cubes instead of large chunky ones. I love the door on door, the see through 'Glide and Serve' drawer, the roomy interior, and I like the 10 year warranty on the compressor which my other choice did not have. Overall a great refrigerator.

What a nice appliance. It is the right size for our location. We could possibly use more refrigerator area and less freezer area. But after researching refrigerators I decided on this one since LG has such a good reputation and I really wanted that door-in-door, my favorite feature. I also enjoy the deli/meat drawer. It does stay at a cooler temperature when selected. Check the ice maker now and then and shake up the cubes. That will keep them from freezing together. We have no problem with the ice dispensing if we do this. I would recommend an LG to friends and family. Glad I purchased this one.

And the ice maker being in the door itself saves SOOOO much room instead of having a bulky tray in the freezer or the maker hanging in the top of the frig. Lots of room.

The fridge is super quiet and even when the ice maker comes on it doesn’t make too much noise. The space is huge inside to fit all different sizes of food/dishes! Also the freezer section is super deep and can keep a month’s supply of groceries!! Only slight issue that I have is getting used to pressing the button for access to the door in door section and also an extra push to close it. That needs a bit of getting used to and can be a little annoying when in a hurry. But the good features far surpass the negatives- and make this a must buy fridge for any family!

This is our second LG refrigerator and the first with the Door-in-Door feature. My first impression was this was somewhat gimmicky, but we've learned to appreciate its advantages through use. The usable space inside the machine is much improved from our first LG through refinements in shelf design. Specifically, the folding shelf allows easy storage of tall items without having to remove a shelf. It's the small touches like this that lead us to appreciate this unit.
