Don't let the few negative reviews sway you

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this refrigerator on Monday August 20, 2018 after our 21 year old KitchenAid refrigerator dies on Sunday. While at the store, I reviewed all of the features, asked many questions, and was happy to make the purchase - especially since this refrigerator was about $500 less than the one we bought 21 years ago. After I came home, waiting to take delivery that afternoon, I went online and checked out reviews. After reading some of the reviews about how "loud" the refrigerator runs...sounding like a "lawnmower", I got a little nervous about my purchase. But, after we got delivery and set up of the fridge, I have to wonder about the folks who claimed that it runs loud and sounds like a lawnmower. Ours certainly isn't any louder than our two previous refrigerators...and if I could find a lawnmower that sounded as quiet as our fridge, I'd buy it! So....don't let the negative reviews sway you away. The overwhelming majority reviewed this refrigerator and gave it excellent reviews. There'll always be somebody who isn't happy with a purchase...those folks will never be made happy...they're chronic complainers. I recommend this refrigerator and we are very pleased with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One month is not time enough for an evaluation but, so far, I am glad I bought it. Beautiful exterior, perfect temperature control, good space in the refrigerator, not so good in the freezer due to the space taken by the ice maker, that should be modernized or simply eliminated. In fact I would prefer to buy a refrigerator without it but was not available for immediate delivery.

Would be a 5 but doors don't align!!

Received this fridge a week ago and my husband and I are finding it is impossible to align the top of the doors and therefore the door handles. Fridge works great but this is a major aesthetical flaw. The freezer door is not adjustable, which makes sense, just the right hand main compartment door. The installation instructions mention that the right door is purposefully installed a little higher than the left freezer door. The flaw in the fridge is the adjustment bracket at the bottom right of the right hand door. It comes from the factory already bottomed out! Yes, that's correct, bottomed out. You can adjust the right hand door to go higher(its already above the freezer door) but you can't adjust it any lower. My husband removed the bottom adjustable bracket to verify the problem and a potential fix he sees is to file the bolt mounting holes going through the bracket so that they are oblong instead of round. We don't own a round file that small. Before you question our installation, yes, we did level the cabinet of the fridge front to back and side to side. It is perfectly level. As a purchaser of a new appliance the customer should not have to undertake any repairs to improve the aesthetics of an appliance. If the holes in the bottom bracket had been drilled 3/16 of an inch higher then there would be no issue and the right door would be adjustable up or down. The is a manufacturing flaw and Whirlpool should be sending us and any other person who has purchased this fridge a replacement bracket with the mounting holes drilled a little higher up so that the bracket mounts a little lower and the fridge door is then adjustable up or down. Whirlpool also needs to fix this flaw so that no new fridges are sold with the door already bottomed out for adjustment.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
