Don't Buy This Refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Two weeks after it was delivered, it quit working. We called and they said they couldn't send someone out to look at it for 2 more weeks. He came and said he needed something and couldn't return for another 2 weeks. We are still waiting. Thank goodness we had moved our former refrigerator to the garage. The only thing on that 24 year old refrigerator that didn't work was the ice dispenser. I wish now that we had just repaired the ice maker. Who knew a 24 year old GE refrigerator would work better than a brand new Whirlpool refrigerator.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received our fridge in the fall and we do like it. It works as it should and only one thing wrong with it. We just would have like to seen a light over the water dispenser so you can see the level in your cup when not using a clear cup. But either than that no problems so far.

Perfect 33" Fridge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We needed to update our 31 year old Whirlpool fridge but were limited on the size due to the space. I'm not sure why so many people are upset with this fridge. We absolutely love it! Previously we had a top freezer with ice maker and water built in. With this fridge we gained more space in both the fridge and freezer. We have had no issues that others seem to be having in the reviews. Ice and water are great. Shelving is fine. More than what we expected for a 33" fridge/freezer side by side!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Terrible Design!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The design of this refrigerator is terrible. The freezer has no storage space. There is no drip pan under the dispenser so the water drips onto the floor. The shelves in the refrigerator side are flimsy. The location of the water filter does not take in consideration that older people cannot get down on the floor to change it. I will be getting another refrigerator as soon as possible and it won’t be a Whirlpool.

DO NOT buy Whirlpool

DO NOT BUT WHIRLPOOL!! We bought this type of Whirlpool fridge. Within about 1-2 years the ice/water broke, and within about 6-7 it stopped working completely! Unfortunately, we didn't realize what poor quality Whirlpool appliances are made with and the lack of integrity. We also purchased one of the dishwashers, within 1-2 years a part on the door that provides the deceleration when the door opens, completely broke. Do NOT buy Whirlpool!

Poor quality.

Our fridge is not even a year old and the drawer tracks and shelves in the door keep breaking. The icemaker/water feature drips down the front of the fridge all the time. would not recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this refrigerator in September only to discover after having tech come out from where it was purchased to verify the door is damaged. However, Whirlpool doesn’t want to stand by their product and told me I could purchase a new door which would be better than purchasing an entire refrigerator. It appears that Whirlpool doesn’t want to make this right.

The only one that would fit!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our refrigerator quit after 14 years, so we had to find a replacement quickly. Due to the kitchen layout and cabinet placement we are restricted as to what type (side-by-side) and size (height) refrigerator to purchase. So this is about the best we could do in the time frame. We did not desire an ice maker BUT again time was critical. (We would have had to wait seven days to obtain this refrigerator model without the ice maker.) Also the color choice was Black, White or Stainless Steel (SS). We did not have any SS appliances in the kitchen but this appeared to be the best color choice based on the other options. So we have this unit over a month now. The SS color choice was good. Very dissatisfied with the Freezer space; so much is lost to accommodate the ice maker. Is there any way to replace ice maker bin with another shelf? Also do not care for the refrigerator side shelves layout. Can not adjust the height of the inner shelves (had to purchase a new water pitcher because of the smaller spacing). Do not care for the depth of the refrigerator section door shelves. At times this unit makes some vibrating noises (is this typical or expected?). The top drawer of the refrigerator section is difficult to move and makes a scraping noise. Is this a defective drawer track? How do we resolve this issue? And why does some food in the freezer section form ice crystal on it?
