[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The freezer section is taken up by a badly misplaced ice maker. Hanging down 12” ice isn’t stored in the door. Bottom slide in bin has sides a 1 1/2” thick on each side that’s 3” could have been a lot thinner. My old one was 18 yrs old and same width as this but had lots more space. Took one of the shelves out of the ref to make room for taller items. As I said occupies the same space as my old one but such a waste of space. Very noisy all kinds of weird sounds. Bought this on line because of the height I needed to go in a hutch unit. Bad mistake. Bottom Bin has thick 1 1/2” sides total of 3” plus a very thick brace under the shelf taking up more space
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Small interior food storage for both sides;

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace an 18 year old frig with the freezer on top; very surprised how much less storage space there is in this side-by-side! Also, doors, handles & feet are not evenly attached. Ice/water on the door sprays/drips water in use. My kitchen space is restricted to this size which does not leave many options. Back to the search.

Fridge freezes food & Water drips down the front

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought four Whirlpool appliances including the side-by-side refrigerator Nov 2022 and it hasn't worked right since I got it. First and not the biggest issue, is that the water dispenser drips all the way down the middle of the freezer door front. I have a well with a water softener and that of course causes the water to leave a salt line. So, I have to constantly wipe it as I don't want a permanent line etching down the freezer door.
Second, this is a BIG ONE, the refrigerator side .....FREEZES..... most everything. I did all the troubleshooting Whirlpool recommended, however nothing worked. Called for a service call and the technician changed the "diffuser", which is behind the vent in the refrigerator that has a thermostat reading. That didn't work. Called again and the control system was checked via electronic connection (tech cell phone). Now we are waiting for a service call tomorrow for a new control panel. Big hopes, but NOT EXPECTING MUCH!
From what we have been told, is that Whirlpool will replace anything and everything on the refrigerator and ....WILL NOT.... replace the refrigerator. So, it sounds like basically they wait for the warranty service to wear out and then you can either pay to get it fixed, not likely, OR you can BUY A NEW REFRIGERATOR!!
I have had Whirlpool's before with no problem. I am not sure why this side-by-side refrigerator is having so many issues. And why does Whirlpool not care about the people who have faith in them and continue to buy their products? Feeling HUNG OUT TO DRY by Whirlpool.
Note to self.....DON'T BUY ANY MORE Whirlpool products!!!!!

Improved but still lacking in some areas

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Delivered Aug 2nd. Great looking fridge with hidden hinges and fingerprint resistant finish. Dispenser is vastly improved from previous generation but is all glossy black not silver like shown on website. No drip tray. Fridge is much noisier than expected. Items on door not as cold as i would like. The included can rack is a waste of usable space and was not secured causing severe scratches on fridge liner. Overall this fridge works well and is good value but Whirlpool could do better.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Replaced 26 year old Whirlpool Side by Side

The Ice maker started leaking in our 26 year old Whirlpool side by side. I figured that we have gotten good service from that product & replaced it with a WRS321SDHB. We did a have a spacing issue in our kitchen and this model fit the bill on all counts. It was nosiy in the begining and now has setteled down as it has adjusted to us ans us to it. Hopefully we will get another decade or 2 from the new refrigerator.
I would recommend this to a friend!
