Poor shelf design.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about a month ago. Very disappointed shelving in refrigerator. Absolutely no options to adjust the shelves. Who would design a refrigerator like that. Only top shelf for taller items like bottles of juice, etc. There is limited shelf’s on freezer door because of the icemaker. Only 3 days was allowed for return so was unable to do that. Will never buy another Whirlpool .
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disappointing ice production

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this Whirlpool model for about a month. It replaces a similar side by side Whirlpool that was 23 years old and still working to upgrade all my appliances to stainless during a kitchen remodel. While generally happy with the replacement, my biggest complaint is the ice quantity. The old model would produce enough all day to fill glasses for two of us all day, and glasses for company as well. With this model, I need to hold back to leave enough for my hubby. It is never full. I would also note that the refrigerator lights are not as bright as the older appliance. And it is disappointing that the shelves cannot be repositioned in the refrigerator. The top shelf is barely high enough for half gallon milk bottles.
That said, there seems to be a bit more room in the freezer (also nonadjustable). This is likely because the ice bucket (that never fills up) is smaller.
My last comment for others is that the water and ice dispenser configuration is a bit challenging to get used to. You need to stop gently while still in position or you get water/ice spilling out. And sometimes the water is triggered when you are just looking to get at the ice. Our old model had separate ice and water side by side. this is front and back. It just requires getting used to.

So far so good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our fridge died on the 4th of July and this model was the one that could be delivered the fastest to us for the size restrictions we have in our kitchen. We didn’t necessarily want the French doors, but there’s a surprising amount of room in the fridge. We wanted simplicity so we didn’t really want the ice and water dispenser. The ice dispenser works, though. The water dispenser worked after we turned the water flow way down from the water feed line. With the water feed line fully open, the water dispenser had a constant drip. We don’t really use the water dispenser because we have a reverse osmosis system under the sink, so it’s fine now. Overall it’s a good unit so far.

Whirlpool Side-by-Side Fridge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this new fridge end of June and have been using it for 2 weeks now. I do love the fingerprint proof texture and my new water/ice dispenser. When I moved 4 years ago the fridge in my new home was a Whirlpool traditional style w/freezer on top. Finally went bad after 25 years. MY new side-by-side is wonderful but I was limited to a smaller one due to space. But I would purchase this model again. Whirlpool all the way!
