Quit Working After 18 months

I haven't even had this for 2 years (about 18 months) and it quit working. About a week ago it started popping the circuit breaker when opening the door. Now it doesn't even light up. I'm not happy. I paid hard earned money for this unit and I'm seeing where this is happening to other people. And only a 1 year warranty on a unit like this? What a joke. This is a testament to the confidence Frigidaire has in their products. Maybe it's time for a class action lawsuit.

Terrible

Bought this to match with the other appliances. Quit working after 13 months (of course just out of the warranty window!). Kept tripping breaker when you opened the door and eventually just stopped working. Truly only used a handful of times and never used the convection function. Had two different repair men come over to look at it. VERY expensive for only 13 months. DO NOT BUY!

Circuit breaker issues

We now have to buy a new microwave to replace this two year old unit because it suddenly developed circuit breaker issues. It started shutting off all the time and recently broke. The appliance repair company said they have similar issues with this model and it’s a costly repair.

Known defect, without support.

Came installed in new RV. One morning opened the door and it tripped a circuit breaker. Search the web and found that this is a known defect, but evidently, there is no known fix.Save your money!

Do not buy one of these! Save your money. If I could give 0 stars I would. I got this microwave when I had my house built and it only worked for 2 years! It kept blowing the breaker multiple times and got to the point it just wouldn’t turn on anymore! Oddly enough over 100 people who live in my development with the same microwave had all these same issues! So if you want to be buying a new one in 2 years then this one is for you!!! I will never buy this brand again!

Falling apart after a few years

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This microwave is frequently tripping the breaker, and had needed the fuse replaced multiple times. Even more frustrating is the cheapness of the plastic parts, particularly those that need to be removed to access the internals. The plastic is so brittle that it has cracked in two locations where the screws would fasten. Where can I find a replacement for these cheap plastic parts?

Great microwave!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently renovated our home and also replaced all appliances with Frigidaire Gallery appliances. Great investment! We use this unit a lot as there are only 2 of us in the house and this takes the place of heating up the big oven to cook something! It is so much more energy efficient and a bit faster as well. This will do just about anything an oven will as well as be the usual microwave! Great product!

Good microwave

We bought this unit to match our new Frigidaire stove. As a microwave it works fine. We have not had occasion to use it as a convection oven yet, but will try it soon. The fan unit is not too powerful, but it works well enough for use over an electric range. We got one of the first of the newer version of this microwave unit. They replaced the light blubs with LEDs which save a bit on the total power requirements and the updated the control panel to give it a better looking and more logically arranged layout.
I would recommend this to a friend!
