Trips power For house, have it unplugged
on January 6, 2020
Posted by: Unsat
This micro was the builder’s standard choice. Had it a little over a year when began to trip power to entire kitchen area and we suspected the micro door through testing. Then got worse to Mire than once a day we were resetting power on breaker. Now power won’t come back on for kitchen unless we unplug micro. Electrician came and tested micro on other outlets and saw sparks. He said micro is defective. Repair or replace? Appliance repair companies provided by Frigidaire said they’ve seen this similar issue many times in other homes and repair cost will be just as high or higher than purchasing a new one from a more reliable brand.

DONT WASTE YOIR MONEY!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought the entire set for my kitchen a year and a half ago. Microwave started blowing fuses, replaced all door switches, fuse, high voltage capacitors, everything else reads good when checked. Now its blowing breakers to my box. Not even 2 years old and it's no good. Extremely disappointed. My previous microwave was over 12 years old and still worked, just wanted a matching set. Frigidaire should be ashamed of the products they are putting out.

Hi, Kristal!
We certainly apologize for any matters you have experienced with your microwave and thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. A tip that can alleviate your circuit breaker concern is to ensure your microwave is not connected to a GFI. The microwave should be on a dedicated non-GFI circuit to avoid tripping the GFCI breaker, and no other appliances should be on the same circuit.
If the previous tip does not resolve your concerns, feel free to chat with us by going to www.frigidaire.com or call us at 1-800-374-4432 Monday-Friday 8:30 am-8 pm EST.
Kindly, Ciara
