Good TV at a good price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this for about 3-4 years and have had no issues with it. I'm about to replace it as my main TV with another unit. I will certainly consider an LG for a replacement.

bought this to upgrade to a bigger picture. at this price point it is a great set. easy set up, good picture quality, and a nice design. could use a couple more usb ports and a better sound quality. over all a great performing 55" set for under $700.

My husband and I bought this TV for our new apartment. The picture is bright, vibrant and crisp! The sound is top notch too! He loves to play his PS4 on this TV. It brings the games to life!!! So happy we got this TV!!!!!

Best Bang for the Buck

Just got this TV and its the best I've had so far. I'm a pure gamer and this TV fits all my needs. i wanted something that could make my games come to life and this TV has crystal clear clarity. Even in fast moving games like COD or Forza 5, this TV makes my Xbox One look good. I replaced an old 42 in Plasma with this LG 55lb5900. The picture is completely vivid and clean. It looks huge in my living room. Its is ultra thin and light. If you don't need a smart TV or 3D TV gimmicks this TV is for you. Even in a room with a lot of light coming in, the TV looks fluid and crisp. I research for about a month for a good gaming TV and cheap. LG is making great product at great prices. The menu is a dream and easy to work with. The remote is very responsive and has all the right buttons. Very happy with this TV and how it looks. Best feature is the added USB. I can play movies right from my USB because the TV has a file explorer integrated. Very nice feature. 55 inches make a big differences when watching movies. Not sure about the sound because I have my audio receiver connected to it.
