I absolutely love my hood. The light is bright, fan dies it's job very efficient but isn't overly loud. Love the design & stainless steel. Completely recommend it.

Hood pros and cons

This hood replaces our old GE hood. I like the style of the hood but it is very deep and sticks out much farther than our old one. Also it requires 2 50W PAR20 light bulbs which are not included in the box. GE should provide these bulbs when you buy the hood. They are expensive and you have to go to a hardware store to find them. They are not available at a grocery or drug store.
The hood lights the cooktop very well but because of its depth you have to cook with the hood lights on or you won't see the back burners. You also must have both lights on at the same time. You cannot put one light on to conserve energy.

Great range hood

We remodeled our kitchen and bought the GE range hood to go with our 36" gase G.E. range. It has two settings for the lights, and two for the fan. Looks like it will be easy to clean.
