Remodeled the kitchen and had this installed by the contractor. Works beautifully. We have not had any issues with odors as another review stated. love the high and low on the lights.

A bit short

This venthood came with the builder appliance pkg, I upgraded my cook top and this venthood was a little small for my cooktop. Nor all smoke was taken up if I cook with the two front burners.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Horrible at removing odor

Vent hood (outside exhaust) was installed by the builder when we bought the house, new construction. We always turn the fans on high whenever we cook, but the house reeks of food odor, especially the 2nd floor. It doesn't seem like the hood is removing much of the air above the stove top. I checked and the vent is set for outside exhaust. The vent is installed about 29" above the cook top which is within recommended specifications. We have been using it for almost 2 years now. It's very frustrating to have the whole house smell of food odor every time we cook. We specifically requested the outside exhaust fan when we bought the house but this GE Profile Vent stinks.

This is what I have always wanted. No noise at all. Dishes clean clean clean. Plenty of room for any dish.

Not really happy with this unit.

Extremely loud unit running on low or high. The first one we had installed had a ding in it and had the builder replace it and the second unit had dents in the corners of the front of the unit where it bends down, I actually observed one service tech showing the 2nd service tech that there where dents in the bend and he actually hushed the guy. I took a look at the dents and just told the guy to install it. I wasn't going to argue with the guy, he was so rough with the install he managed to ding my brand new cabinets. This home purchase has been such disappointment. I am looking for something not as obnoxious as this unit and appearance wise this unit is uninspiring.

There are two settings for the exhaust fan: loud and LOUDER! I am very dissatisfied with this unit's ability to loudly suck up little.
